Keanu Reeves Wants To Play Wolverine in ‘X-Men’
Playing the claw-wielding anti-hero Wolverine has been a longtime fascination of the Canadian actor. During a Reddit AMA session, Keanu Reeves expressed his desire to play Wolverine. “I did always want to play Wolverine.” posted the Canadian actor on Reddit. Australian actor Hugh Jackman has played Wolverine in the ‘X-Men‘ franchise. Hugh Jackman also played the character in ‘Logan‘ and will reprise his role in ‘Deadpool 3‘.
In October 2022, Keanu Reeves declared on the ‘Jimmy Kimmel Show‘ that his Marvel dream role was Ghostrider. While the Canadian actor didn’t get cast as Wolverine or Ghostrider, he went to play John Constantine in the 2005 movie. He also voiced Batman in the 2022 animated superhero film ‘DC League of Super-Pets.’

Is There A ‘Constantine’ Sequel In The Works?
During the Reddit AMA session, a fan asked Reeves if he had met with James Gunn regarding the ‘Constantine‘ sequel. He replied with an affirmative but didn’t give the fans anything to write home about when pressed for more details. We know Reeves will reprise his John Constantine role, with Francis Lawrence, the director of ‘Constantine‘ returning to direct the sequel. Akiva Goldsman is writing the script for ‘Constantine 2‘.
Marvel and DC have been trying to recruit Keanu Reeves for a while. The 58-year-old actor reportedly turned down the role of ‘Captain Marvel‘ villain Yon-Rogg. It is believed that Reeves has sights on a more significant character. Sources suggest that the ‘John Wick‘ star and Kevin Feige share a strong relationship that will hopefully lead to a major casting announcement for the Marvel universe.
