Family drama is something one cannot stay out of, especially social media. Miley Cyrus’ famous family members cannot catch a break from constantly being under the spotlight. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who is a country music sensation to all of her siblings including Noah, Brandi, Trace, and Braison, has made it to the headlines.
Their family rift was amplified when Braison and Noah were absent from their mother Tish’s wedding to Dominic Purcell recently. Also, Miley Cyrus’s brother Trace Cyrus candidly spoke about being a part of the famous family and how it affected him growing up.

What Does Trace Cyrus Do For A Living?
Being a part of the bloodline which consists of many mega-stars might not be as advantageous as one presumes to be. At least that’s what Trace Cyrus thinks. Trace, like many other members of the Cyrus clan, is also a musician, but he believes that he would have been much more successful if he didn’t have any A-list relatives.
Miley and Trace have been supportive of each other’s careers over the years. Trace even appeared on the red carpet alongside his younger sister to celebrate the release of ‘Hannah Montana 2‘ in June 2007 and attended the Los Angeles premiere of her movie ‘The Last Song‘ in March 2010. Metro Station, the band in which Trace is a lead singer, also served as the opening act for Miley’s Wonder World Tour in 2009.
In 2020, Trace broke up with Taylor Sanders and thanked his family for helping him through a tough time. He also wrote a now-deleted caption, “I’m recently single & extremely thankful to have my family around me during this time” and credited Miley saying, “I’ve just been feeling so blessed lately! Thank u @mileycyrus for always being there. Love you sooo much sissy!”

What Is The Cyrus Family Feud?
In a recent Q and A session over Instagram, Trace Cyrus openly admitted his remorse for being a part of a famous family after his siblings skipped their mom Tish Cyrus’ wedding amid a toxic feud. A fan of the musician asked him if it’s “hard being in a family that is in the spotlight“, to which the musician responded that if he hadn’t been part of a “famous family”, he would have been more “successful”. The guitarist of the Metro Station also confessed how he already had a booming career while his now-famous sister, Miley Cyrus was just starting out in Disney’s hit show, ‘Hannah Montana’.
Trace also reflected on how he never revealed to anyone that he was the son of the famous country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, who adopted him when he was four years old after marrying his mother, Tish. The musician said, “I love my family so much but I think I’d be much more successful if I wasn’t part of a famous family. People immediately want to judge me and discredit all my hard work because of who I’m related to. But that’s so far from the truth. I got a record deal without anyone from my label even knowing who I was related to till after they signed me. I never put my last name online anywhere for the first years of my career until people started finding out.”
The other Cyruses haven’t taken Trace’s feelings in stride and there’s a feud going on between them.
