Elvis Presley’s wife, Priscilla Presley, will contest the validity of her late daughter’s will. Marie Presley will fight the claim of not being a part of Lisa Marie Presley’s will and has already filed a legal challenge through her team of lawyers.
Priscilla will contest her exclusion in court due to a few incorrect spellings and the omission of details. Lisa Marie’s mother and her former business manager, Barry Siegel, are no longer the co-trustees of the estate. If things turn out to be in Priscilla’s favor, the status quo will likely change.

How Is Priscilla Presley Challenging Lisa Marie’s Will?
Lisa Marie Presley, 54, died from cardiac arrest on January 12, 2023. Before her passing, she amended her will to relinquish her mother, Priscilla, of her estate’s trustee position. Written in 1994, the will was amended in 2016 to remove Priscilla.
Priscilla and her lawyers are challenging this 2016 amendment. Presley’s attorneys claim that the documents misspelled Priscilla’s name and had an odd signature. In their legal filings with the Los Angeles Superior Court, the attorneys claim that Priscilla didn’t know this amendment until Lisa’s recent death.

What Are Priscilla’s Lawyers Saying About Lisa’s Will?
The lawyers support the claim, saying, “Based on the foregoing, the Purported 2016 Amendment should be deemed invalid and the Trust, as amended and completely restated in 2010 is the controlling and authoritative document and its terms administered.”
Given Lisa Marie’s financial struggles, her estate’s value is unclear. According to People, a close friend of the deceased wanted her children, Riley Keough and Benjamin Keough, to look after the estate. Lisa was not fond of her mother and didn’t share the best relationship with her.
