In recent times, it has become scary for artists to perform live. The concertgoers have become aggressive in their attempts to attain attention. Many artists like Bebe Rexha, Harry Styles, P!nk, and others have become victims of fans assaulting them with an inanimate object. But Cardi B turned the tables by retaliating against similar behavior by a fan.
Recently, Cardi B made headlines for throwing a microphone at a woman for throwing water at her. The internet hailed the act due to the increasing attacks on the artist. However, a woman standing next to the woman who doused the rapper with water complained. However, Cardi B is not facing any criminal charges.
Police Authorities Do Not File Any Case Against Cardi B
On July 29, 2023, a video went viral of Cardi B performing at Drai’s Beachclub. During her performance, she asked the fans to throw water at her to cool her down. However, one of the women threw water at her after the moment passed. So, infuriated, Cardi B threw the microphone at the woman, who was seen apologizing and later escorted out of the venue.
However, the microphone did not hurt the woman; instead, it allegedly hit another woman on her right shoulder. The woman reported a battery case, claiming she was “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage.”
Now, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirms that there will be no case filed against Cardi B. The Police Department released a statement, saying, “After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case.”

The Rapper Pleaded Guilty To Assault Charges Related To A Fight In 2018
In 2018, Cardi B and her entourage attacked two bartender sisters by throwing objects, including champagne bottles, at a strip club in Queens. The rapper was to enter a trial in September 2022, but she accepted a plea deal that compromised community services. Two defendants, Jeffrey Bush and Tawana Jackson-Morel, had to serve six months in prison.
In a statement, Cardi B wrote, “Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to.”
She continued, “These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now. I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most – the music and my fans.”
