After graduating from the wizardry school, Daniel Radcliffe emerged as a fine actor. He proved his mettle by starring in varied film and stage roles. However, one rumor that does not stop following him is that he is taking forward the baton playing Wolverine in the MCU’s hit franchise ‘X-Men’. The original Hugh Jackman played the role last in 2017’s ‘Logan’.
Now, the British actor is promoting the satirical parody and part-biopic titled ‘Weird: The Al Yankovic Story’. During his promotional tour, Daniel addressed the rumors about him playing Wolverine in the next ‘X-Men’ films. So, are the rumors true?

Will Daniel Radcliffe Be The Successor Of Hugh Jackman?
It is difficult to fill in the shoes of an iconic character like Wolverine. The X-Men franchise and the character gave Hugh Jackman the stardom that he enjoys today. But, since the character got killed in 2017’s ‘Logan’, the actor did not return to the role. So, speculations started rolling out that another actor is replacing Hugh.
The frontrunner in the rumors was the ‘Harry Potter’ star, Daniel Radcliffe. In March 2022, while promoting ‘The Lost City’, Daniel addressed the rumors. He said, “So many times, people come to me like, ‘hey, man, heard about the Wolverine news. That’s really cool.’ I’m like, ‘Mate… I don’t know anything about it.” Radcliffe added, “Prove me wrong, Marvel!”
Now, during the cover interview of GQ Hype, Daniel addressed why the rumors are surfacing at this intensity. He debunked the rumors stating, “It’s purely a press tour rumor; I say something, and then occasionally I get bored of answering that way so I say something different, and that sets it off again. I should just never open my mouth.”
Sandra Bullock Urged Marvel To Cast The Actor As Wolverine
During the promotional tour of ‘The Lost City’, Radcliffe’s co-star Sandra Bullock put her foot down for him to be cast as Marvel. During the interview, the interviewer asked him about Wolverine. To this, the actor replied, “Mate, that’s been happening to me semi-annually for the last three years.” Sandra asked why he has not been cast yet. Daniel said that it is just Internet speculation and no one has asked him in reality yet.
Sandra Bullock had enough and appealed to Marvel, “Wolverine people, can you please just f***ing cast him. Just do it. Stop tiptoeing around and having people ask at press junkets. Just cast the man.” Sorry Sandra, but the original star, Hugh Jackman will reprise his role in the upcoming ‘Deadpool 3’ film. In an announcement, Ryan Reynolds asked Hugh Jackman, “Hey Hugh, you want to play Wolverine one more time?” Jackman while ascending the stairs replies, “Yeah, sure Ryan.”
