More than 15 years after his famous pro-Obama anthem ‘Yes We Can‘, Will.i.am is back, this time to show his support for Vice President Kamala Harris.
He is one among the many musicians to endorse Kamala Harris, though he’s the only one who got to script an anthem for her. Here’s all we know about his latest release.
Will.i.am Pens A Powerful Anthem For Kamala Harris
Over the weekend, Will.i.am sealed the deal and officially endorsed Kamala Harris with his new single, ‘Yes She Can‘. The single is set to send fans straight to the polling booths on Election Day.
“Witness the power of community and unity as we come together with ‘Yes She Can’,” the 7x Grammy winner said, linking to the music video.
“This is a heartful anthem celebrating Kamala Harris and the power of every people… With Election Day just around the corner, I wanted to score the movement, and create a call to action, and a promise of what we can achieve together,” he added.
The music video offers some very striking visuals, capturing footage from the January 6 Capitol riots as well as protests after Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022, to name a few, against images of voters at the polling stations.
Will.i.am sets the track off with the very powerful message about the state of the U.S., addressing division and turmoil around the nation.
“Mama, what’s wrong with America? Why can’t we get along in America? Something’s going on in America. People entertained by the predator,” he sings.
Will.i.am Is Singing For The Democrats For The Second Time
Will.i.am is in true fashion delivering a call to action. In his song, he appeals to Americans to embrace one another in their differences, urging them to move ahead in unison in spite of their differences.
“We all immigrants, different characters, but together we could break down the barriers. So register and vote for your life. If you a woman, then vote for your rights, and don’t let them take away your right,” he says in the song.

A song’s crescendo comes when it boldly predicts, “We about to have a woman president.”
It’s 2008 and Will.i.am gathered his star-studded friends together in support of President Barack Obama’s campaign. This time, he’s singing in support of the historic possibility of America’s first woman president.
