‘Saturday Night Live‘ performances have never shied away from making bold political statements. Now that we’re on the other side of the most consequential elections in the history of America, it is but natural that the performers on the live show come up with some creative jabs at the politicians.
In the latest episode of the show, Bill Burr did not hold back on the heavy topics during his monologue after Donald Trump won the 2024 election. Here’s how the episode went down and the bold statements that came as the highlight of the episode.
Bill Burr Asks Kamala Harris And Hillary Clinton To Change Their Dressing Choices
Opening with a wink, Bill Burr started his monologue with a satire-packed statement. “Nice to be here on such a fun week. I don’t want to hear it. I don’t watch politics. We’re gonna keep it light,” he said, then quickly pivoting to address the politically big elephant in the room—Donald Trump’s successive victories.
“Alright, ladies, you’re 0 and 2 against this guy,” Burr joked, referencing Trump’s victories over Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris. He didn’t stop there as he jabbed at their sartorial choices, stating, “Enough of the pantsuit! It’s not working! Stop trying to have respect for yourselves!”
“You don’t win the office on policy; you gotta whore it up a little! I’m not saying go full Hooters,” he said. “But find the happy medium between Applebee’s and your dad didn’t stick around. All right? You all know how to get a free drink.”
Burr then added with a smile, “I know a lot of ugly women — I mean feminists — don’t want to hear this message. But just tease ‘em a little bit! Make a farmer feel like he has a shot. Swing a state over a little bit!”
He further said that he is relieved that the election is over. “I’m so psyched that this election is over. Took forever. Everybody knew who they were voting for four years ago.”
Bill Burr Mocks “Lunatic” Donald Trump In ‘SNL’ Monologue
Bill Burr didn’t stop his mockery there. Sharing his opinion on Donald Trump, stating, “Let’s see, what does the orange bigot have to say?” he said, “Let’s see, what does the orange bigot have to say?” He dubbed him “a lunatic” as he referenced Trump’s erratic movements and a failed assassination attempt at one of his rallies. Burr joked that his survival was due to “herky-jerky movements,” making it impossible for the assailant to get a clean shot.
The comedian also revisited one of the lighter moments for Donald Trump — the way he described his joy in a McDonald’s visit as “the Grinch bringing the toys back down the hill, and his heart grew bigger.”

“That’s the happiest I’ve ever seen him,” he added. Not one to be too serious for long, Burr then launched into personal space, detailing a recent battle with the flu. He amusingly blamed a shoeless cowboy he sat next to on a plane, sarcastically praising God for continuing to “make that guy.”
Burr brought it all back around to the everyday vaccine debate, slyly noticing the odd divide between trusting pharmaceutical companies or aligning with “people who don’t wear shoes on an airplane.”
Burr’s tart humor was just what people needed after the election and its campaign, and fans were in stitches.
