Batman II is the most awaited DC movie. People want Robert Pattinson to return as the caped crusader, but the makers of the movie aren’t disappointing either. They recently released a teaser for a spinoff movie The Penguin. It is a new crime-thriller series in the DC universe.

Collin Farrell will be playing the role of the villain who is a corrupt nightclub owner in the series. The trailer was filled with scenes of crime and butchery making it a perfect dose of that dark Batman-themed movie. Here’s more about what to expect from ‘The Penguin‘.

The eight-episode-long series would be different from Robert Pattinson’s Batman movies. The Penguin is all ready to take over the criminal underworld. The whole teaser includes a monologue of the villain and his rise in power in Gotham City.

At the end of ‘The Batman’, Riddle’s plan leaves the whole of Gotham City submerged in water. The crime boss Carmine Falcone was killed by the Riddler leaving the criminal spot vacant. Oswald Cobblepot is seen looking at the sunrise in the teaser with the city view, aiming at the establishment of a new era. Hence, he has the potential to take over the crime world in the new Gotham.

The cast of the series includes Michael Zegen as Alberto Falcone, Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, and Michael Kelly portrays Johnny Vitti.

Colin Farrell as Penguin

Max has unveiled a new teaser for his new Batman spin-off series, ‘The Penguin‘. The unknown hero of the series is back at it to save Gotham City from growing crimes. The trailer was quite intimidating and intense with some lines from the villain that goes by: “When I was a kid, there was a gangster, real old-school type — Rex Calabrese; he was a big deal. He helped people. He saw you on the street, he’d call out to you.”

It is an eight-episode series written by Lauren LeFranc, with Craig Zobel as the director. The release date of the series isn’t revealed yet but it would be most probably out by autumn of 2024.
