The original ‘Wizards Of Waverly Place‘ aired from 2007 to 2012, starring Selena Gomez with David Henrie as Alex and Justin Russo who were polar opposite siblings and were competing for the title of the Wizards family. The series was a childhood favorite for many Disney lovers.
‘Beyond Waverly Place‘ picks up after 12 years from where it left with Justin raising his kids in a magic-free world until Alex shows up and leads the family to a completely magical path. So what to expect from the show?

The show shall continue from where it left. According to Disney, Justin “has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family, but all of it changes when Alex brings Billie to his home seeking help.” This leads to Justin “dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.”
In addition to Henrie returning as Justin Russo, Mimi Gianopulos is returning as his wife Giada, Alkaio Thiele as their older son Roman, Max Matenko as their younger son Milo, Janice LeAnn Brown as a young wizard named Billie, and Taylor Cora as Billie’s BFF Winter.
Selena Gomez is on the board as executive producer and she’s also going to play the role of guest star Alex. Gomez is not going to be a part of the regular cast. Apart from this David DeLuise is also going to make his appearance as a guest star.

How Did ‘Wizards Of Waverly Place‘ End In 2012?
In 2012, the series came to an end after Alex won the Wizard competition, which determines which family member has to keep the superpowers. Justin kept his magical abilities when Professor Crumbs offered him a job as the headmaster of Wiz Tech. Meanwhile, Max was going to take over Waverly Sub Station.
Back in February 2024, Selena Gomes also talked about the show on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live‘, and said, “It’s going to be fun and I’m excited to bring these characters back.” She continued, “It’s not a reboot, it’s gonna be a different version, and I’m excited to share with you guys.” Adding that she’s “the family wizard.”
Moreover, Disney branded television partner Ayo Davis also said, “Wizards of Waverly Place captivated hearts with its spellbinding adventures and big laughs, creating unforgettable memories for kids and families everywhere”.
