5. Season 4 Episode 20
This episode brought a lot of emotional scenes with it. But one thing that stayed with the fans and was very unexpected and heartbreaking was Claire’s goodbye. Claire was one of the central characters of the show and very much loved by fans of ‘The Good Doctor‘.
Dr. Claire Browne decided to stay back in Guatemala and quit her job at St. Bonaventure. This moment was very sad for every fan of ‘The Good Doctor‘. Saying goodbye to Claire was hard and heartbreaking for everyone.

4. Season 4 Episode 20
Another moment from the season 4 finale episode that touched everyone’s hearts was when Morgan and Park have a real talk. The two have had feelings for each other for quite some time now but never expressed them. Finally, when a tough Dr Morgan Reznick becomes vulnerable and expresses her fear that her career might be over because of arthritis.
Watching her become vulnerable and expressing her feelings made one or two tears roll down our cheeks. Dr Alex Park then comforts her and watching the two bond and finally make their feelings verbal was enough to make any ‘The Good Doctor’ fan cry.
3. Season 3 Episode 20
This episode has a whole lot of heartbreaking moments. You cannot really pick one but Melendez’s death stands out the most. A lot of things happened in this episode with the earthquake and a lot of people dying. However, it was heartbreaking to see Melendez already accepting his death and knowing that it was his final day. Being a doctor, Melendez knew that his body was giving up and yet he stayed calm and detached from the news.
What made it even more painful to watch was Lim’s desperate attempts to save him and her conversation with Glassman. The writers brutally gave us hope and then took it away as well. We absolutely could not hold our tears back when Melendez told Claire he loved her just before taking his final breath.
2. Season 3 Episode 10
In this episode, Shaun faced his parents again after a long time. Lea, Glassman, and Shaun went to visit his ailing father Ethan. The interaction that followed between Shaun and his father was heart-wrenching, to say the least.
What provided a little hope was when Shaun and his mother hugged after having a long conversation about her choices. This episode will make you cry when we come to know all the struggles of Shaun’s childhood.
1. Season 4 Episode 16
This episode brought tears to every ‘The Good Doctor‘ fan without any doubt. Fans were very excited that the intern that started out at the beginning of the show was going to be a father. Lea and Shaun’s love story was cute, warm, and fuzzy with a lot of ups and downs but this one was the hardest of all.
After Lea was brought into the hospital when she collapsed at home, everything seemed harmless and just a normal checkup. But things got bad quickly and the news of her miscarrying came soon. This episode showed that bad things can happen without warning and it is really heartbreaking to watch Lea hear the news that she has lost her baby.
‘The Good Doctor‘ has been airing for six seasons now and has a big fan base. The series has given us some great insight into the medical world.
