Sports media personality Bill Simmons sparked a wave of online speculation involving Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce following a remark he made during a heated discussion on his podcast on December 22, 2025. The comment, delivered while reacting to the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest loss, quickly spread across social media and prompted unfounded pregnancy rumors about the pop superstar.
The speculation stems from a single line Simmons used while questioning Kelce’s continued presence on the field late in the NFL season. However, there has been no confirmation from Swift, Kelce, or their representatives, and the rumors remain entirely unsubstantiated.
Remark During Chiefs’ Loss Sparks Retirement Talk For Travis Kelce

Simmons’ remarks came during a discussion of the Chiefs’ Sunday loss to the Tennessee Titans, a defeat that left Kansas City out of playoff contention. While analyzing the game on his podcast, Simmons argued that Kelce should consider ending his season early to avoid unnecessary injury.
“‘It was officially a ‘Feel bad for Kelce,’” Simmons said on the podcast. “Guy’s a Hall of Famer, he’s getting married to Taylor Swift, having a kid with her, probably flies everywhere private, has private security everywhere he goes.”
Simmons went on to emphasize the physical risk Kelce faced by continuing to play in a lost season. “And he’s just kind of running around this f***ing Titans game, trying not to get hurt,” he said. “Fake an injury. Just fake an injury and end the thing.”
A representative for Simmons did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment. Swift’s representative also did not immediately respond. The comments quickly drew reaction online, with fans questioning Simmons’ certainty.
One post on X read, “I love that he knows that she’s pregnant but isn’t sure if he flies private or not LOL.”

While no pregnancy has been confirmed, previous reports have addressed the couple’s long-term plans. In August, a source told Us Weekly that Swift and Kelce may “not wait too long” to start a family after getting engaged.
“She’s in a great space in her career and with her success, and she can take some time away,” the insider said. The outlet also reported that the couple “absolutely want” to welcome children together.

Separately, Kelce addressed speculation about his football future on Friday, stressing that his focus remains on the present. “I’d rather keep the focus on this team, right now,” he said. “All the conversations I have with the team moving forward will be with them.”
Calling it “a unique time in my life,” Kelce added, “I’ve got three games left, and I know when the season ends.”
Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Stadium Move In 2031

The Kansas City Chiefs have confirmed they will leave Missouri’s Arrowhead Stadium after more than 60 years and relocate to Kansas beginning with the 2031 NFL season. The decision was announced on December 22, 2025, following prolonged negotiations with officials in both states.
“We are excited to take another momentous step with you, Chiefs Kingdom,” the franchise said in a statement posted on Instagram.
The Chiefs plan to construct a new domed stadium and accompanying mixed-use development in Wyandotte County, Kansas. In addition, the team confirmed that its training facility will move from the Arrowhead area to a mixed-use district in Olathe, Kansas, approximately 20 miles southwest of its current location.
According to the organization, the combined projects will represent a minimum of $4 billion in total development. Kansas lawmakers approved sales tax and revenue bonds in June 2024 that would cover up to 70 percent of the cost of a new stadium, contingent on the Chiefs committing to the state.
The proposal received final approval on December 22 from the Kansas Legislative Coordinating Council.

The Chiefs initially played at Municipal Stadium from 1963 to 1971 before relocating to Arrowhead Stadium in 1972, where the franchise has called home for more than five decades.
The announcement comes amid a challenging period for the team, as quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ 2025 season ended prematurely after he suffered an ACL tear during Kansas City’s December 14 game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Mahomes later addressed the setback in a post on X, thanking fans for their support and expressing confidence in his return.
