On Wednesday, Dec. 24, the Kansas City Current co-owner shared a series of Instagram Stories showing herself working out at home alongside two very special training partners: her and husband Patrick Mahomes’ older children, daughter Sterling Skye and son Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III.
The festive at-home workout took place as Patrick Mahomes continues recovering from the knee injury that prematurely ended his 2025 NFL season earlier this month. While Brittany pushed through her exercises, Sterling and Bronze transformed the gym into a playful Christmas Eve hangout, adding a lighthearted touch to the family’s holiday routine.
Christmas Eve Gets Active As Brittany Mahomes Works Out With Sterling And Bronze
Brittany Mahomes gave fans a closer look at her “Christmas Eve workout” through a series of Instagram Stories shared on Dec. 24. In the first clip, she walked on an Alpha treadmill while wearing a bright red sports bra and matching leggings. Nearby, Sterling and Bronze hopped on curved treadmills of their own, taking turns walking and gleefully sliding down the machines.
Dressed in festive Christmas pajamas, the kids brought plenty of energy to the workout and showed no signs of slowing down. In later clips, Brittany joined Sterling and Bronze on the floor, where all three lay on gym mats and completed leg lifts and toe touches together, turning the session into a playful family activity.
The Stories wrapped up with the children testing out a SkiErg machine, which mimics cross-country skiing. Sterling eagerly pulled down the cables with enthusiasm, while Bronze gave it his best effort but struggled a bit with the coordination.
Brittany and Patrick Mahomes also share an 11-month-old daughter, Golden Raye, who did not appear in the workout clips. In recent weeks, Brittany has continued to post glimpses of the family embracing the winter season and making the most of the holidays together.

Earlier in December, Brittany shared additional Instagram Stories capturing Sterling and Bronze enjoying a snowy day outdoors. The siblings were seen attempting to make snow angels, turning the winter outing into a playful family moment.
In one photo, Sterling smiled brightly as she stretched her arms wide, dressed in a beige knit hat, a light pink puffer jacket, dark pink pants, and matching gloves and boots. Bronze appeared bundled up beside her in a dark hooded puffer jacket, light gray pants, and black gloves and boots, his eyes squeezed shut as he concentrated on forming his own snow angel.
Those lighthearted family moments come as Patrick Mahomes remains focused on his recovery after suffering a serious knee injury during the Chiefs’ loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on Dec. 14.
For the unversed, Mahomes tore both his ACL and LCL late in the game and was helped off the field. The injury brought his 2025 season to an early end, and the Chiefs failed to reach the playoffs after qualifying for 10 straight seasons.
Andy Reid Shares Crucial Update On Patrick Mahomes’ Road Back After Knee Surgery
Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid confirmed that Patrick Mahomes will travel with the team for its Christmas Day matchup against the Denver Broncos but will not be on the sidelines as he continues to recover from surgery on his left knee.
Reid explained that the quarterback is still in the early stages of rehabilitation and remains physically limited.
“Yeah, if he can. I mean, you know, he’s still fairly short after surgery. So, he definitely won’t be on the sideline or any of that. Although he’d like to be, but, he can’t do that right now,” Reid said.
Mahomes has begun a rehabilitation process expected to last at least nine months after suffering a torn ACL in his left knee. The Chiefs are targeting his return for Week 1 of the 2026 NFL season, though the timeline will ultimately depend on how his recovery progresses.
Reid also noted in recent days that Mahomes has attacked rehab aggressively, creating cautious optimism without altering the team’s official recovery expectations. He clarified that Mahomes is not currently participating in team meetings, as his focus remains entirely on treatment and recovery.

“He’s not in the meetings. He’s been getting treatment. Just kind of getting settled into that deal. That’s not an easy recovery, but he’s pounding through it and doing a nice job with that part,” Reid added.
Mahomes’ injury brought his 2025 season to an abrupt end and forced the Chiefs to adjust at the quarterback position late in the year. The setback ultimately contributed to Kansas City’s elimination from playoff contention after reaching the postseason in 10 consecutive seasons.
