Rapper Cardi B and NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs have reportedly stepped back from their relationship just weeks after welcoming their first child together, with sources citing trust issues as a key reason for the split.
A source told PEOPLE magazine that Cardi B reportedly “pulled back” from her relationship with Diggs because she “couldn’t trust him.” “Things were getting too heated and complicated,” the source said of their whirlwind romance.
The source added, “Cardi is very no-nonsense. The second she felt that she couldn’t trust him, she pulled back to focus on her kids, her music, and tour.”
The rapper shares daughter Kulture, 7, son Wave, 4, and daughter Blossom, 1, with her estranged husband, Offset. She also shares a 3-month-old son with Diggs. According to the source, she “needs stability and wants the same for her kids.”
The insider added that “the door is not completely closed” and that the pair are continuing to co-parent. “They might reconnect in the future.”
The reported split came a few days before Diggs and his team faced the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 2026 on February 8. Another source told Us Weekly that Diggs “betrayed” Cardi.
“He betrayed her so many times. Her friends have been trying to show her that he is not right for her and that she deserved better,” the source said, adding that the Grammy Awards winner is now “single and putting herself out there again.”
Following the game, fans noticed that the two had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Diggs was also seen at the Super Bowl with a woman known as Pree, who allegedly had an affair with Offset during his marriage to Cardi.
While Diggs has not publicly addressed the breakup reports, Cardi confirmed her single status during a stop on her Little Miss Drama Tour in Los Angeles.

“Let me tell you something, just because I ain’t f–king with my baby daddy doesn’t mean you get to talk about my baby daddy, bitch! This for you, bitch!” she had said in response to rapper Bia, who criticized Diggs over the number of women with whom he shares children.
Cardi and Diggs first sparked dating rumors in February 2025 after they were seen together on Valentine’s Day in Miami.
They went public with their relationship in June 2025 and welcomed their son in November 2025. Diggs has five other children with five other women, with four of his six children born in 2025. Page Six reported that representatives for both artists were contacted for comment.
Cardi B Endorses Jasmine Crockett In Texas Senate Primary

Separately, Cardi B is urging Texas voters to support Jasmine Crockett in the state’s Democratic U.S. Senate primary. In a video shared with her 164 million Instagram followers, Cardi B called on supporters to participate in early voting and back Crockett over state Rep. James Talarico.
“Listen up, y’all, early primary voting is happening right now in Texas, and we need Jasmine Crockett to win. She is running for U.S. Senate,” Cardi B said.
The rapper also said, “And if you want somebody that’s going to fight for your right, if you want somebody to fight for your community, if you want somebody that’s going to go up there and represent you and represent your issue please vote for my sister, Jasmine Crockett, because one thing about it, she’s going to fight her best.”
She added, “She’s going to fight whoever she has to so your voice and your problems could be heard,” Cardi B said. Crockett acknowledged the endorsement on X and encouraged voters to cast ballots before early voting ends Friday.

A University of Texas Texas Politics Project poll published Thursday showed Crockett leading Talarico 56 percent to 44 percent. The Democratic primary has become the most expensive in the nation’s history, with more than $110 million spent on advertisements between Democratic and Republican candidates.
On the Republican side, incumbent Sen. John Cornyn faces Attorney General Ken Paxton and Rep. Wesley Hunt in a three-way contest. A Democrat has not held a U.S. Senate seat in Texas for more than 30 years.
