Cardi B celebrated the New England Patriots’ playoff win after the team defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 16–3 in the NFL Wild Card round on Sunday, January 11.
The rapper took to Instagram shortly after the final whistle, sharing her reaction with a humorous clip from America’s Next Top Model. The video featured host Tyra Banks asking contestants, “How many people were scared?” as every hand, including Banks’, went up.
Cardi added the caption “thank you lord” across the clip, along with a “Go Pats” sticker. She later followed up with another video showing herself watching the game from home, enthusiastically reacting to the Patriots’ dominant defensive effort while playfully urging the Chargers to begin their offseason.
“That’s what I am talking about,” Cardi said. “Take them to Tulum. They want to go to Tulum tonight on Delta. Put them on Delta.”
Cardi is currently dating New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs, who remains active on the roster as the team continues its postseason run. The pair were first linked in 2024 before officially confirming their relationship in May 2025. In November, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son.
Stefon Diggs Denies Allegations As Court Proceedings Are Delayed

Cardi B’s public support of Diggs comes amid serious allegations made against the wide receiver by his former private chef, who accused him of assault and strangulation. The claims became public on December 30, though Diggs has denied the allegations.
After the accusations surfaced, Cardi shared what she said was an alleged text message from the accuser in an Instagram post that was later deleted. The message read, “I’m sooo sorry, I can’t talk to you, I didn’t say that, especially in the way it was written, please contact my mediator and she will answer anything you need to know. But only in person and confidently.”
Cardi also released a statement publicly defending Diggs. “Not once has that woman said anything to me about being touched.. NOT ONCE!!,” she wrote, according to TMZ. She added that she intended to let the legal process unfold and expressed confidence in Diggs’ innocence.
Diggs responded to the allegations through his attorney, David Meier, who issued a statement on December 30 denying the claims.
Meier said, “They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated because they did not occur. The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear. They are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction. Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law.”

Diggs’ arraignment has been postponed until after the Super Bowl, allowing him to remain eligible as the Patriots continue their postseason campaign. New England is scheduled to face either the Pittsburgh Steelers or the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round on Sunday, January 18, with Diggs still available to play as the team advances.
