Chloe Kim revealed that her relationship with Myles Garrett began with an introduction arranged by her physical therapist during an appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast on March 13.
Kim explained that she met Garrett through a shared connection who works closely with athletes and helps coordinate access to specialists, including physical therapists. While training for the 2025 X Games, she recalled venting to her therapist, Vinh, about her dating life.
“I was like, ‘I can’t date anymore, like, I’m done, I’m just gonna be single forever.’ I was being so dramatic,” Kim said. “I was like, ‘I’m gonna get a sperm donor. I don’t need a man.’ “
Kim said her therapist then asked what she was looking for in a partner. She replied that she wanted someone “tall, handsome, kind, close with their family,” adding, “and I want somebody that’s equally as successful as me, if not more.”
Vinh ultimately suggested Garrett. Kim admitted she was unfamiliar with the NFL star at the time but agreed to speak with him while she was in Aspen.
The therapist later arranged a FaceTime call while Garrett was on vacation in Cabo. Kim described the introduction as brief. “It was so quick, like, ‘Hey, what’s up?’,” she said, calling it “super small talk.”

Kim admitted she didn’t expect to hear from Garrett again after their brief initial call. However, Garrett soon followed up with a message asking about her X Games practice, something that caught her off guard.
“Do I have really low standards, or is that really sweet?” she said, adding that Garrett has texted her “every day since” that first message.
The pair first drew public attention as a couple in May 2025, with their relationship gradually becoming more visible in the months that followed.

Chloe Kim also described how her relationship has developed since they began dating. After winning a silver medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics, she said Miles Garrett supported her in person during the event.
Kim said the couple keeps their relationship separate from their professional lives. “Getting a break from work and just enjoying each other’s company is nice,” she said.
