Claressa Shields has weighed in on the growing crossover debate between NFL stars and Logan Paul, arguing that pro football players would struggle in a boxing match without proper preparation.
Speaking to TMZ Sports in comments published on March 22, 2026, Shields addressed ongoing speculation about how Paul would fare against NFL talent, particularly amid his public back-and-forth with Tom Brady.
The conversation also touched on whether players like Myles Garrett could defeat Paul in the ring. While acknowledging Garrett’s imposing size and athleticism, Shields stressed that physical tools alone wouldn’t be enough to secure a win.
She stated there is “no way” NFL players could beat Paul without at least six months of dedicated boxing training. Shields added that even an athlete like Garrett, listed at 6-foot-4 and 272 pounds, would require significant preparation before being capable of defeating him.

Logan Paul’s Viral Apology After Flag Football Chaos

Logan Paul drew additional attention over the weekend following his appearance at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where he participated alongside NFL players and Team USA competitors. After the event, the former WWE United States title holder posted a video offering what he described as an apology for his actions during the game. The remarks referenced several incidents, including confrontations on the field.
He said, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize for some of my actions in yesterday’s flag football game. First, I want to apologize to the United States flag football team for taking (Team USA star Housh) Douchette’s glasses off of his face and throwing them at the ground.”
Paul continued, “That happened because after he scored a touchdown, he kind of got in my grill and said to me, “Welcome to flag football,” which upset me because it’s comments like that that I just can’t tolerate.”
The WWE star also referenced Jalen Hurts, saying, “Second, I’d like to apologize to Jalen Hurts for sacking you and later deflecting a pass that then got intercepted by my team, allowing us to score on the very next possession.”
He added, “If you get traded or your contract gets cut down, now we know why, and it’s probably pretty embarrassing, so I am sorry.”
Addressing Tom Brady, Paul said, “And of course, I’d like to apologize to Tom Brady for applying so much pressure on you play after play after play that had you literally fearing for your life.”
He further added, “I understand you’re older, it’s not like you could go anywhere, and you got frustrated, which is why you threw the ball at me. And I want you to know that I forgive you for that, because that’s what real men do.”
Paul concluded with, “And lastly, I’d like to apologize to everyone that said that I was not a great athlete, because you all look stupid as hell right now. Thank you.”
