UFC president Dana White has confirmed that work on the fight card for the highly anticipated White House UFC event will begin as early as next week, signaling a major step toward finalizing the historic show scheduled for June 14, 2026.
The event is scheduled to take place on the White House lawn as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebrations. White shared the update during an interview with TMZ Sports, noting that the organization will begin matchmaking immediately after this weekend’s UFC 324 fights conclude.
Given the scale and significance of the event, White explained that the UFC will move at an accelerated pace compared to its usual scheduling process.
“So, this Saturday, when this fight ends, usually every Tuesday we have matchmaking, Monday we will be matchmaking. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, we’ll be building the White House card as soon as that fights done,” White said.

The UFC has publicly discussed the possibility of a White House event for several months, with some skepticism surrounding whether the unprecedented show would ultimately come together.
Throughout the speculation, Dana White has remained firm that the plans are real and progressing behind the scenes. With June 14 now less than five months away, the timeline underscores just how quickly the historic event is approaching.

The UFC CEO also added that key details about the structure of the event remain undecided, including whether it will be classified as a numbered UFC pay per view or a standalone special card.
“I haven’t thought about it yet. I haven’t thought about that yet, we haven’t got that far,” White said. According to White, once the UFC finalizes the top fights for the White House event, senior leadership will travel to Washington, D.C., to review plans with White House officials.
White confirmed that Ivanka Trump will play a role in the planning process and that discussions with the president will take place once the fight card begins to take shape.
“We’ll build the card and then we start, once we start to build the card, like when we have the top three fights, Craig and I will fly to D.C., sit down with Ivanka and the president and then go through all the, you know, he wants Ivanka to be apart of this and her and I were talking about it last night,” White said.
