David Beckham embraced the winter chill during a recent weekend at his country home in the United Kingdom, sharing glimpses of the snowy escape on Instagram. The former England captain offered fans a look at his rural lifestyle, complete with snow-covered grounds, his dogs, and the chicken coops on his property.
On Monday, January 12, Beckham posted a series of photos from what he described as an enjoyable countryside retreat.
The images showed him trekking through snow-covered terrain with a walking stick, his dogs roaming the property, and chicken coops blanketed in fresh snow. Despite the cold conditions, Beckham appeared in good spirits throughout the snapshots.
“Amazing weekend in the country and nice and chilly 🥶 Simba 🐶 not so happy 😀,” Beckham wrote in the caption, giving a nod to one of his dogs. Beckham frequently shares moments from his countryside life, often posting updates featuring his dogs, garden, and animals.
Back in October 2024, he shared photos of his chickens and dogs enjoying warmer weather outdoors, captioning the post, “Country life ❤️🐶🐓.” Simba, in particular, is a regular presence across Beckham’s social media.
Chickens Become Part Of Beckham Family Life After 2023 Christmas Gift

The Beckham family added chickens to their household in December 2023 after David Beckham received them as a Christmas gift, a surprise his wife, fashion designer Victoria Beckham, revealed on Instagram at the time.
“What do you get @davidbeckham for Christmas??” Victoria wrote alongside a video capturing the moment. In the clip, Beckham is seen feeding the birds and jokingly sharing, “I got some chickens and a cockerel.”
While the chickens seemed camera-shy on Christmas morning, Beckham later managed to snap a photo of them venturing out of their coop. “Coming out to say good morning,” he wrote over an Instagram Stories post showing one chicken peeking out.
The cozy countryside weekend comes on the heels of a major milestone in Beckham’s life late last year. In November 2025, he was knighted by King Charles III during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle in recognition of his services to sport and charity.
Victoria Beckham, along with David’s parents, Ted Beckham and Sandra West, were in attendance for the occasion.
“I have been fortunate to represent our country, and I’ve always done that with pride,” Beckham wrote on Instagram following the honor. “I love our Royal Family and what it means to people not just in Great Britain but around the world. I could never have dreamed that this would happen to me.”

Reflecting on the experience weeks later in an interview with PEOPLE, Beckham described the emotional impact of the moment. “It’s been a very emotional week. I wasn’t nervous, just emotional, as it means so much to me and my family. It’s such a huge honor to receive, and all round, it was a very special day for us. It’s a memory I’ll cherish for the rest of my life.”
With the knighthood, Beckham is now known as Sir David Beckham, while Victoria Beckham will be referred to as Lady Beckham.
