Deion Sanders publicly praised his rumored girlfriend, actress and influencer Karrueche Tran, during the season premiere of his We Got Time Today streaming talk show on January 22, offering rare insight into their relationship as he navigates the football offseason.
“Good woman, good person, has added so much to my life and my days and my moments,” Sanders, 58, said while speaking with co-host Rocsi Diaz. “And I’m smiling.”
The comment marked one of the few times Sanders has spoken directly about Tran since the pair were first linked last summer. Their rumored relationship became public after Tran was seen at Sanders’ hospital bedside while he recovered from surgery related to bladder cancer.
Tran has remained closely involved throughout Sanders’ ongoing recovery. In October, she again supported him during his 16th surgery. A hospital video captured an emotional moment as she helped Sanders prepare for the procedure.
“I’m gonna start crying,” Tran said while assisting him with his hospital gown. “Baby, you walk me around the corner like you did last time,” Sanders replied as she stood up to accompany him.

Tran, 37, has also spent meaningful time with Sanders’ family. She appeared in holiday vlogs shared by Sanders’ sons, Deion Jr. and Shilo, during Christmas celebrations, and was seen attending games late in the NFL season to support Sanders’ son Shedeur after he became the starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns.
Sanders wrapped up his third season as head coach at Colorado in 2025, with the Buffaloes finishing the year 3–9 after a season that had carried high expectations.

While discussing his personal life, Deion Sanders also reflected on his health and Colorado’s offseason progress. “This offseason has been treating me really well,” Sanders said on the show.
He added, “We’re tearing it up in the [transfer] portal. We’re building something extraordinary, extra ordinary, extraordinary. And I’m feeling so darn good. Rocs, I hadn’t felt this good in quite some time.”
Colorado has added 42 new players through the transfer portal, according to 247Sports. The program’s transfer class currently ranks No. 22 nationally as the coaching staff works to reshape the roster ahead of next season.
Sanders emphasized that he remains deeply involved in the rebuilding process. “Like, really, like, like my hands, and I don’t even have a manicure like I usually do, because I got to go get it tomorrow, by the way. But I’m good. I got my hands in and on everything,” he said.
