Emma Stone is getting ready for this year’s Super Bowl LX, even as she recently admitted she has little recollection of attending one of the game’s most talked-about editions.
In an interview with Rolling Stone published on February 4, the two-time Academy Award winner reflected on being at Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta while filming Zombieland 2. Stone said she attended the 2019 matchup with the film’s cast and crew during production in Georgia.
“We went to what was one of the most famously slow and kind of uneventful Super Bowls in history, apparently,” she said. “It was in Atlanta a couple years ago, we were shooting Zombieland 2, and so the whole cast and crew kind of went and watched it, and not much happened, but it was still fun.”
When asked about the halftime show, Stone initially drew a blank before realizing the answer mid-conversation. “That’s a really good question. Let me Google that, give me one second. Clearly this was not… oh — Maroon 5,” she said.

Maroon 5 headlined the Super Bowl LIII halftime show on February 3, 2019, at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium, with guest appearances from Travis Scott and Big Boi.
The game itself saw the New England Patriots defeat the Los Angeles Rams 13–3, a result that has since cemented Super Bowl LIII’s reputation as one of the lowest-scoring and most defensively driven championship games in NFL history.
Emma Stone Expresses She Is Really Excited About Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Set

While reflecting on the past in the same interview, Emma Stone also shared her plans for the upcoming Super Bowl LX on Sunday, where Bad Bunny is set to perform during the halftime show.
“I’m definitely going to watch the Super Bowl — I am very invested in it,” she said. “My brother was a high school quarterback, so I will be watching with him, and that’ll be fun. But I’m really excited for Bad Bunny, obviously.”
Asked whether she has seen Bad Bunny perform live before, Stone said she has not. “No, but I would love to. So I feel like I’m gonna see him in concert in a couple of days. We all are!” she said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Stone discussed her current music habits, noting that her listening routine has been shaped by life at home. She said that much of her day is soundtracked by the K-pop group Demon Hunters, which she listens to regularly with her almost 5-year-old child.
The Super Bowl remains one of the most-watched annual events in the United States, with the halftime show continuing to serve as a major cultural moment alongside the game itself.
