Hannah Einbinder placed blame for the Philadelphia Eagles’ early playoff exit on a mix of bad luck, roster issues, and leadership decisions. She said the team’s downfall began months before its postseason loss.
The Hacks star and longtime Eagles fan said running back Saquon Barkley “jinxed” the team by golfing with President Donald Trump last spring. For the unversed, the Eagles’ season ended with a 23–19 home loss to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round on January 12th.
Einbinder shared her reaction in a series of Instagram Stories on January 13, offering an emotional assessment of the loss and the state of the franchise.
“Yeah, Eagles got eliminated from the playoffs in our first game, and honestly, I couldn’t handle the pain of this season anymore. Legit got a blood test. I have high cortisol. I’m relieved in a way. Also this pain is what I’ve always known my entire life, so I’m used to it. Go birds.”

She continued with what she called “closing thoughts,” starting with Barkley’s widely publicized golf outing.
“Some closing thoughts. Saquon jinxed us by golfing with Trump like I’m sorry,” she wrote. Barkley faced criticism in April 2025 after playing golf with President Donald Trump at Trump National Golf Club in New Jersey.
He later responded to the backlash on X, noting that he had also recently played golf with former President Barack Obama.
Hannah Einbinder Suggests Nick Foles As Potential Offensive Coordinator

Frustration over the Philadelphia Eagles’ early playoff exit has intensified scrutiny of the team’s coaching staff. The organization has already fired offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo following the Wild Card loss, signaling broader changes ahead as Philadelphia enters the offseason.
Amidst this, Hannah Einbinder joined the conversation around potential replacements by sharing a post from the Instagram account that suggested former Eagles quarterback Nick Foles as a candidate for the offensive coordinator role.
“This would be so sick,” Einbinder wrote over the image. Foles, who led the Eagles to a Super Bowl LII victory and was named Super Bowl MVP, has remained closely associated with the franchise since his retirement.
While no formal discussions have been announced regarding his involvement in the coaching staff, his name has resurfaced among fans calling for organizational change after the team’s disappointing postseason finish.

The Eagles have yet to publicly detail their plans following Patullo’s dismissal, but Einbinder’s remarks echo a wider fan sentiment calling for a shake-up of the offense and a redefinition of leadership as the team heads into the 2026 season.
