Iman Shumpert says he remains encouraged by Teyana Taylor’s recent professional success, even as the former couple continues to navigate life after their divorce. Speaking to TMZ Sports in New York City this week, Shumpert addressed Taylor’s growing recognition in film, particularly for her role in One Battle After Another.
The performance earned Taylor a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress, marking a major milestone in her transition from music to acting. Shumpert, who has also explored acting in recent years, offered a straightforward reaction when asked about her achievement. “She did well. She did well, for sure.”
His comments reflect a supportive tone despite their separation. Shumpert also shared an update on their family dynamic, noting that co-parenting remains steady and effective, and that their daughters, Iman “Junie” Tayla and Rue Rose, are doing well.
Taylor filed for divorce in 2023 following months of separation. At the time, her attorney, Tanya Mitchell Graham, stated that Taylor “tried to resolve this matter amicably and privately in order to protect all parties involved, particularly the parties’ minor children.”
While the split initially drew attention due to reported tensions, Shumpert’s recent remarks suggest both sides have since moved toward a more stable and settled arrangement.

Iman Shumpert Criticizes Bam Adebayo For Repeatedly Referencing 83-Point Game

In a separate development, Iman Shumpert recently addressed comments by Bam Adebayo about his historic 83-point performance, which ranks as the second-highest-scoring game in NBA history and surpassed a previous mark set by Kobe Bryant in 2006.
Adebayo referenced the achievement after the Miami Heat’s loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, where Luka Doncic scored 60 points. Reflecting on that performance, Adebayo said, “He hit some tough shots out there. I know what it’s like to be in that mode. As people can see, it’s not easy to get 80.”
Shumpert responded on his platform, Shump Street, expressing disapproval of Adebayo continuing to highlight the performance. He said, “Don’t bring up the 80 no more. You don’t bring that up. That was a regular-season game against a tanking team. Bam, you don’t need to talk about it. Let us talk about it.”
