Fresh off her standout performance at the 2026 Winter Olympics, figure skating champion Alysa Liu says one small item in her skating bag helps her manage the physical toll of long training sessions on the ice.
The 20-year-old ace recently shared that she relies on a tube of Panier des Sens Precious Jasmine Hand Cream to combat the dry skin that comes from hours spent on the rink.
For the unversed, Figure skating involves extended exposure to cold temperatures and constant adjustments to equipment, conditions that can leave athletes’ hands dry and irritated.
Liu said she keeps the affordable product close by to help protect her skin during training and competition. “I bought (it) myself,” Liu told Today in a recent interview. “Usually, people are gifted hand creams, but I go out, and I buy them.”
The compact cream, which typically retails for about $12, contains ingredients designed to moisturize and shield skin from environmental stress. According to the brand, the formula includes oils intended to keep hands soft and smooth and is made with 96 percent naturally derived ingredients.

Liu’s comments about her skincare routine came shortly after she delivered a gold medal–winning free skate at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Her program was set to the song MacArthur Park by Donna Summer. The performance helped secure a major Olympic victory for the American skater during the international competition.

During the individual event, Liu placed third after the short program with 76.59 points behind Japan’s Ami Nakai and Kaori Sakamoto. She then climbed to first place after scoring 150.20 points in the free skate, a season-best performance that secured the gold medal.
