Jason Kelce Doesn’t Hold Back After Fan’s Controversial Holiday Take

Jason Kelce made it clear that he has zero patience for anyone who dares rank Halloween ahead of Christmas. The retired Philadelphia Eagles star didn’t hold back during a bonus episode of the New Heights podcast, released Friday, November 21, where he and his brother, Travis Kelce, asked listeners to share their most controversial holiday opinions.

One caller delivered a take that Jason absolutely could not let slide. The fan, Thaddeus, boldly claimed that Halloween is the better holiday in comparison to Christmas. Jason immediately cut in, refusing to let the statement stand, and fired back with a blunt response that sparked a lively back-and-forth.

On the New Heights podcast, a fan by the name of Thaddeus kicked things off by saying, “Halloween is actually a better holiday than Christmas,” which prompted Jason Kelce to immediately cut him off with, “You’re a f****** idiot, Thaddeus.”

While Thaddeus acknowledged that Christmas “is cool and all,” he argued that Halloween brings “better all-around vibes. You get to spook kids and play pranks.” Jason wasted no time responding.

“Christmas is the greatest holiday on the planet. There’s not even something that compares to it,” he said. “I love Halloween, but it couldn’t sniff a fart of Christmas.” He went on to explain that the joy of decorations, parties, gratitude, and watching someone open a present outweighs anything Halloween can offer.

He then added, “I‘m trying to think in what world someone would think Halloween was better, and the only thing that makes sense is their parents gave them a s***** Christmas.”

Travis tried to defend the caller’s upbringing, but Jason wasn’t backing down. “I’m definitely putting that on Thaddeus’ parents,” he said. “That’s the only possible way Thaddeus thinks that.”

The Eagles legend even took the debate to holiday treats, adding, “Candy corn is s***. The candy that represents Halloween and the candy that represents Christmas (the candy cane) is night and day better than Halloween’s.”

He went on to point out that Christmas sweets don’t require any extra effort. “You put candy in the stockings. You don’t have to walk to strangers’ houses.” He also noted that Christmas holds an even deeper meaning in his own home. He and his wife, Kylie Kelce, are parents to four daughters: Wyatt, Ellie, Bennett, and Finley.

Jason Kelce is already looking forward to the holiday season, and it’s all because of one dish made by his wife, Kylie Kelce. During the extended edition of his podcast with Travis Kelce, released on November 21, the 38-year-old revealed that Kylie’s green bean casserole is the highlight of the holiday for him.

While he admitted he’s not the biggest fan of turkey, he made it clear that he loves almost everything else on the Thanksgiving table.

He admitted, “I love everything else about well, I take that back, I love most other things about Thanksgiving. I’m a big mashed potatoes guy. I’m a big corn guy. Kylie makes a badass green bean casserole. F****** love that dish. Mama Kelce dinner rolls. Like everything else about Thanksgiving is so fantastic.”

Jason also confessed that he’s not entirely sure what goes into Kylie’s casserole, but he guessed it probably includes “green beans, a creamy mushroom base, and a fried onion topping.”

Green bean casserole may be his favorite, but Jason also had strong opinions about other Thanksgiving staples. He told Travis that one longtime favorite just doesn’t do it for him. “I’ll go one step further and say the mac and cheese is the most overrated side item.”

He added, “I’m not a big mac and cheese guy. Travis has always been a big mac and cheese guy.” Jason also shared that he’s the one who fries the turkey each year. “And Kylie doesn’t even eat that, so I pretty much make a turkey for myself.”

When the conversation turned to dessert, he didn’t hold back there either, calling one option “The most overrated dessert in the f******history of top shelf desserts.”

This year, the Kelce family plans to enjoy Thanksgiving together while watching Uncle Travis take the field for the Chiefs as they face the Dallas Cowboys.
