Jon Jones addressed a viral road incident in Albuquerque after footage surfaced showing him confronting another driver following a near collision. The video, which quickly made rounds on social media, appears to show the former two-division UFC champion stepping out of his vehicle and approaching another driver during a tense roadside exchange.
The driver can be heard accusing Jones of erratic driving, while ‘Bones’ seemingly urges him to calm down before briefly gesturing toward the camera and walking away. The individual who shared the clip later clarified that there were no hard feelings, downplaying the confrontation despite the strong reaction online.
Jones later offered his version of events on social media, claiming he was pursued by an aggressive driver.
He wrote, “This kid proceeded to chase my car down for two blocks, revving his engine and trying to intimidate me. I am glad this happened to me and not one of the senior citizens in our community. I am proud of myself for standing up for myself and not allowing that kind of bullying or intimidation.”

The incident has attracted added scrutiny, given Jones’ past legal troubles outside the Octagon, including multiple driving-related offenses that resulted in legal consequences and disciplinary action from the UFC.
Jon Jones Accused Of Near Collisions By Driver Before Parking Lot Confrontation

The driver who shared the video alleged that Jon Jones nearly caused multiple collisions in the moments leading up to the roadside confrontation. According to his account, Jones drifted into his lane several times along Central Avenue, forcing him to take evasive action to avoid contact.
The driver further claimed that Jones eventually stopped, reversed, and followed him into a nearby parking lot, where the exchange took place.
Posting under the Instagram handle @bryanbeltran06, the individual later addressed the situation, writing, “Btw I know it’s Jon Jones. I didn’t know who it was when I flipped him off, but definitely realized who it was quick. No hate or hard feelings towards my guy Jon, but I think he might need to take some driving classes because he almost hit me multiple times. Hopefully, soon I make another video where we can maybe shake hands and squash the beef lol.”

He added, “All of you with Jon’s met in your mouth relax, it ain’t that deep. I know he was a world champion, and no, I don’t think I could beat him in a fight lol. But like I said, he should still be more careful. Being famous or trained doesn’t matter when it comes to someone pulling a trigger. Anything can happen. And like I said, I don’t carry and didn’t try anything, so I’m not someone to worry about.”
