Jorginho has claimed his 11-year-old daughter was left “in tears” following an alleged confrontation involving a security guard linked to pop singer Chappell Roan during a recent stay in São Paulo.
In a series of Instagram Stories shared on Saturday, March 21, the midfielder described what he called an upsetting situation involving his family while they were in the city for Lollapalooza Brasil. His wife, Catherine Harding, had traveled to attend the event, where Roan was scheduled to perform.
Jorginho explained that his daughter, Ada Law, had been excited to see the singer and even prepared a sign ahead of the festival. He alleged that the family unexpectedly crossed paths with Roan during breakfast at the Palácio Tangará.
“By coincidence, they’re staying at the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, the artist walked past their table. My daughter, like any child, recognised her, got excited, and just wanted to make sure it was really her,” Jorginho wrote.
He emphasized that his daughter did not approach or interact with the singer directly. “She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything.”
According to Jorginho, the situation escalated when a security guard approached their table and spoke “in an extremely aggressive manner,” accusing the child of disrespect and harassment. He further alleged that the guard threatened to file a complaint with the hotel.
“Honestly, I don’t know at what point simply walking past a table and looking to see if someone is there can be considered harassment. My daughter was extremely shaken and cried a lot,” Jorginho wrote.

Jorginho went on to criticize what he described as the treatment of a young fan, drawing on his own experience in the public eye. “It was just a child admiring someone,” he wrote, adding that he hoped the situation would prompt reflection.
His partner, Catherine Harding, also addressed the moment on social media, sharing a photo of her daughter at the hotel and reposting Jorginho’s statements in support. Ada is Harding’s daughter from her previous relationship with actor Jude Law.
Chappell Roan Clarifies Guard Was Not Part Of Her Team, Issues Apology After Hotel Incident

Chappell Roan addressed the allegations in a video shared to Instagram Stories on March 22. She said she was unaware of the interaction and disputed that the individual involved was part of her security.
The singer said she never saw the child or her mother and that no one approached her during the breakfast encounter. She added that the man who confronted the family was not a member of her personal security team and that she did not instruct anyone to speak to them.
“I’m sorry to the mother and child that someone was assuming something, that you would do something, and that if you felt uncomfortable, that makes me really sad. You did not deserve that,” Roan said in the video.
