Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld made a special appearance at the wedding of Sam Darnold and Katie Hoofnagle on April 3, just one day after announcing the birth of their first child, according to an exclusive source.
The couple, both 29, stepped out for the celebration shortly after revealing the arrival of their baby girl in a Substack post published on April 2. The event marked a rare public outing for the pair as new parents.
“Hailee and Josh were so sweet on the dance floor, clearly having a blast,” a source told People. “People were politely congratulating them on their baby girl, and they were very kind,” the insider added.
During the celebration, Allen joined fellow guests in lifting the groom during a crowd-surfing moment. According to the source, Allen, along with several of Darnold’s teammates, helped carry him for part of the night.

The wedding also drew a number of high-profile NFL names and their partners. Christian McCaffrey attended with Olivia Culpo, while Cooper Kupp was present with his wife Anna Marie Kupp. Christian Kirk was also in attendance.
Darnold, currently the quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks, tied the knot with Hoofnagle in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and teammates.
Josh Allen Opens Up About Fatherhood And His Daughter
Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld announced the birth of their daughter in a Substack post titled “Special Delivery” on April 2.
“Our baby girl has arrived!!” Steinfeld wrote. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
Allen had previously spoken about becoming a father in interviews leading up to the birth. In December 2025, he told the Associated Press that he was “overjoyed, absolutely overjoyed” and expressed his desire to raise his child in Buffalo.
“I consider this place my home. It’s where I’ve done a lot of growing up. And it’s a place that I’ll raise a family. It’s really cool,” he said.

In a January press conference, Allen said he planned to approach parenthood with flexibility. “It’s something that I will take with great pride. And we’re going to have to figure things out on the go, just like anything else,” he said.
He added, “But this is the most important thing I’ll ever be in my life, being a dad. And I know I love being a football player, and I love being a quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. But I’m looking forward to this one.”
The couple confirmed the birth of their first child on April 2 and attended the wedding the following day.
