Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen addressed a resurfaced viral photo of his wife, actor Hailee Steinfeld, wearing Denver Broncos gear just days before Buffalo’s NFL Divisional Round playoff matchup against Denver.
According to CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson, Allen responded to the image on January 15. Wolfson shared his reaction on X, writing, “Asked Josh about this pic and he told me he had no idea it was floating around. Laughed and said she was probably paid to be there. And that he definitely wasn’t going to bring it up at home. 😂”
The photo shows Steinfeld wearing a Broncos Starter jacket at Super Bowl 50 in February 2016, when Denver defeated the Carolina Panthers at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

Old Broncos Fandom Resurfaces As Hailee Steinfeld Fully Embraces Bills Era

The resurfaced post sparked strong reactions from fans of both teams. Some Broncos supporters embraced the throwback, while Bills fans urged Hailee Steinfeld to distance herself from the old allegiance. “You still have time to delete this,” one commenter wrote, while another added, “HAILEE DELETE THIS NOW!!!”
Steinfeld, who was born in Southern California, has not publicly explained why she was supporting the Broncos at Super Bowl 50 in 2016. Her association with Denver predates her relationship with Allen, which began several years later.
Steinfeld and Allen married in May 2025 and are currently expecting their first child. While Allen was on the road for Buffalo’s NFL Wild Card Round victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars on January 11, Steinfeld was preparing to attend the 2026 Golden Globe Awards.
She appeared on the red carpet showcasing her baby bump while supporting her film Sinners, which received seven nominations and won awards for Best Original Score – Motion Picture and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
Following the Bills’ win over Jacksonville, Allen shared a photo of Steinfeld from the Golden Globes on his Instagram Story, accompanied by drooling and heart-eye emojis.
Allen previously addressed Steinfeld’s pregnancy after Buffalo’s win over the New England Patriots on December 14, 2025. “I’ve known for a long time, right? So it’s not that crazy to me. But yeah, I mean, obviously the love that I’ve received from teammates and friends, it’s a really cool special moment in my life. And my wife’s life.”
