The Houston Rockets forward addressed the viral criticism in a promotional video sharedon January 27, in which he read aloud several posts from X users mocking the appearance of his legs and ankles. The video was released as part of his partnership with skincare brand CeraVe.

In the video, Durant reacts directly to the comments with a mix of humor and disbelief. After reading one post urging him to “please” put lotion on his legs, he responded, “Why are you actually watching my legs so closely, brother?”
He then addressed another message referencing the viral 2021 image of his ankles, saying, “I had 35 on 12 shots that night. That is way more important than my ashy ankles.”
