Kim Kardashian revealed that a fake social media post linking her to NBA star Luka Dončić had real-life consequences, including keeping her away from Los Angeles Lakers games.
Speaking on the Khloé In Wonder Land podcast with her sister Khloé Kardashian, Kim addressed a February 2025 post from parody account NBA Centel. The viral post falsely claimed she left a flirty Instagram comment on Dončić following his trade from the Dallas Mavericks to the Los Angeles Lakers, and made it seem as though Dončić publicly rejected her.
“Mine was so fake,” Kardashian said. “And it looks like I’m hitting on this guy. I haven’t gone to a Laker game since.”

Kardashian explained that the post made her deeply uncomfortable and affected how she navigated public appearances. While she later clarified that the incident wasn’t the sole reason she’s stayed away from Crypto.com Arena, she confirmed it did play a role in her absence.
The post quickly went viral, spreading across social media and drawing widespread attention throughout the NBA community. NBA Centel later reposted Kardashian’s remarks on X on Friday, adding multiple crying-laughing emojis in response.
Luka Dončić Awaits Austin Reaves’ Return As Lakers Road Trip Continues

The Los Angeles Lakers may soon get a major boost, as Austin Reaves is nearing a return from injury. Reaves has been sidelined since December 25, when he exited the Lakers’ 119–96 loss to the Houston Rockets at halftime due to lower leg tightness.
Subsequent imaging revealed a Grade 2 strain in his left calf, forcing him to miss every game since the Christmas Day matchup. Momentum is now building toward Reaves returning during the Lakers’ ongoing eight-game road trip.
While the team has yet to announce a firm timetable, internal optimism has grown as his rehabilitation continues to trend in the right direction. Luka Dončić spoke about Reaves’ potential return in an interview with Spectrum SportsNet, emphasizing the impact his teammate has both on and off the court.
“On court, he’s an amazing player; he helps us in so many ways,” Dončić said. “Playing with him it’s fun, it’s very fun. And off the court, he made the trip. He’s finally on the trip, so we’ll have some good times.”

Reaves traveling with the team is a strong indicator that his return could be imminent. His absence has been noticeable on both ends of the floor, as he is a consistent fixture in the Lakers’ rotation when healthy. As the road trip continues, Reaves appears to be entering the final stages of his recovery.
