Lewis Hamilton Greets Anya Taylor-Joy Before Tough Sixth-Place Finish In Japan

Seven-time Formula One champion Lewis Hamilton competed at the Japanese Grand Prix 2026 without girlfriend Kim Kardashian in attendance, finishing sixth at Suzuka on March 29.

Kardashian had been expected in the paddock after traveling to Japan earlier in the week, but was not seen at the circuit on race day. Reports suggested she may have departed the country before the race. The couple had recently been spotted together in Tokyo ahead of the third round of the Formula One season.

Instead, Hamilton was seen in the Ferrari garage alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, greeting her with a hug before the race. A regular presence at Formula One events, Taylor-Joy later walked through the VIP area with Hamilton and mingled with other guests.

Scuderia Ferrari hosted several high-profile celebrities at Suzuka, including Chris Pratt, Jack Black, Keegan-Michael Key, and Charlie Day. On track, Kimi Antonelli secured his second consecutive Grand Prix victory. Hamilton, now racing for Ferrari, ultimately crossed the line in sixth place.

Hamilton and Kardashian began dating earlier in 2026 and have since been seen together at several locations, including Tokyo. During the trip, Hamilton also spent time with Kardashian’s three youngest children, marking a notable step in their relationship.

Kardashian’s next expected appearance in the Formula One paddock is likely to come at the Miami Grand Prix in May.

Lewis Hamilton said he made significant physical and mental changes ahead of the 2026 Formula One season following recent challenges adapting to new regulations and his move to Ferrari.

He explained, “Training this winter has been the heaviest and the most intense that I’ve ever had, and that probably comes hand in hand with being older. It takes longer to recover.”

The 41-year-old added that he began working closely with his trainer from Christmas Day onwards and focused on improving team integration.

He also emphasized a shift in mindset and said, “I think it’s just a change of attitude. It’s just not letting all the BS that surrounds me come out of people’s mouths. In the way of knowing who I am and what I’m able to do, I hope you saw that in the last two races, particularly the last race.”

Moreover, Hamilton increased his training load significantly, including running 100 kilometers in Tokyo between races, and stressed his continued commitment to competing at a high level.

I know that none of the drivers I’m racing against have trained as hard as I have and given it what I have, especially at my age as well.”
