On Friday, Nov. 28, Megan shared an Instagram video documenting how she prepared Thanksgiving dinner the day before for Thompson, who now plays for the Dallas Mavericks, and his family.
The clip captured her cooking throughout the day, from working on classic holiday dishes to setting up the evening meal. “What’s up, y’all It’s ya girl Megan Thee Stallion aka Thee Hot Girl Coach and I am whispering cause Klay is still in his food coma from last night,” she said in the video, playfully explaining why she was speaking softly.
She later revealed a large pot of greens that had been simmering overnight and noted that she prefers making dressing instead of stuffing, keeping with her Southern roots. “Right here, this is me getting my dressing ready. I do not call it stuffing, baby, cause this is dressing, this is a Southern thing,” she said.
As she moved on to the turkey, Megan joked about just how much work she’d put into seasoning it. “Okay, this is me getting my turkey ready because I already gave it a BBL and injected that thing up last night with all the flavor,” she added, laughing while showing off the preparation process.

The Grammy winner admitted she was feeling the pressure of cooking for Thompson’s family and wanted everything to be perfect. “I was really nervous cause I was like Dang, I’m really finna cook for my man and his whole family. I hope they love this because I got to show them that I really love their son,” Megan said.
Still, there was one dish she felt completely confident about. “Baby, let me tell you ain’t nobody seeing me on barbeque baked beans. If you wanna have a conversation, let me know because I’m sure I will win,” she added, proudly highlighting her signature recipe.
Klay Thompson’s Family Praised Megan Thee Stallion’s Cooking Skills
After finishing the meal, Megan Thee Stallion filmed herself getting ready before taking all the dishes over to Klay Thompson’s family home. “And then we hurried up, and we took all the food over to the Thompsons,” she said.
She later revealed that Thompson’s father was more than impressed with her cooking, proudly sharing his reaction at dinner. “Mr Thompson definitely said 10 out of 10. I could easily have owned my own restaurant, but I ain’t wanna record him saying it cause I was tryna be respectful,” she explained.
The video also captured Thompson fixing himself a plate as Megan playfully teased him for being too hungry to chat. “This is Klay, he is so ready to eat, he is tired of hearing me talk. I said Bae, what you thankful for and he said Girl, get to that table. I don’t wanna hear you no more,” she added, laughing at the moment.
