Pat McAfee has signed with Ari Emanuel as he looks to expand his career into film and television, according to a Bloomberg report published on Tuesday.
McAfee played punter for the Indianapolis Colts from 2009 through 2016 before successfully transitioning into sports media and professional wrestling. Bloomberg reported that Emanuel plans to position McAfee “into the next Sylvester Stallone” as part of the new representation agreement.
For the unversed, Emanuel serves as executive chairman of WME Group and oversees TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE. His client roster includes prominent entertainment figures such as Seth MacFarlane and Larry David.
According to Bloomberg, Emanuel has already lined up screen opportunities for McAfee. He is set to appear in the upcoming season of Tulsa King on Paramount+, which stars Stallone, and has also secured a role in The Mosquito Bowl, directed by Peter Berg and slated for release soon.
McAfee built a powerful media presence after retiring from professional football, transforming The Pat McAfee Show into one of the most widely distributed and influential sports programs in the United States.
