Patrick Mahomes recently shared that meeting Taylor Swift ranks among his most memorable experiences during his time with the Kansas City Chiefs. Speaking at the Lead to Read KC event on April 2, Mahomes reflected on his journey with the team and what stands out the most.
“It would be to play at Arrowhead Stadium and just have all the fans and Chiefs Kingdom out there,” he said of his favorite moment. “That’s a lot of fun. I got to meet Taylor Swift, that was pretty cool too.”
Swift became closely tied to the Chiefs after she started dating star tight end Travis Kelce in the summer of 2023. Since then, she has formed strong bonds within the team’s inner circle, including Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
After Swift made her first appearance at Arrowhead Stadium in September 2023, Mahomes had nothing but praise for her. “(She’s) good people,” he said at the time. “But like Trav said, man, I’m going to let them have their privacy and just keep it moving.”

The connection has even extended beyond football. Mahomes and Kelce have incorporated Swift into their business ventures, adding themed drinks at their restaurant, 1587 Prime. Swift’s drink, The Alchemy, nods to a song linked to her relationship with Kelce, while Brittany’s is fittingly named Queen B.

Mahomes has also shown his support for Swift’s music over the years. When she released her 2025 album The Life of a Showgirl, Mahomes revealed that it would be on repeat throughout the Kansas City Chiefs’ facility, further highlighting the strong connection between Swift and the team.
Brittany Mahomes Inducted Into UT Tyler Athletics Hall Of Fame
Brittany Mahomes was inducted into the University of Texas at Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame on March 28.
“This City and this School are a huge part of who I am today, I will forever cherish this honor and am forever grateful for what this program did for me as an athlete and as a person!” she said in response to the recognition.
She was honored alongside Dr. Howard Patterson and the 2016 softball team as part of the university’s sixth Hall of Fame class. For the unversed, Mahomes played for the UT Tyler Patriots from 2013 to 2016. She scored 31 goals during her college career, including 18 in her senior season.
In 2016, she recorded 40 points, the highest single-season total in program history at the time. According to school records, she ranks among the program’s leaders in both goals and total points. Moreover, she also contributed as a playmaker, leading in assists and game-winning goals, and matched a program record by scoring three goals in a single match on four occasions.

After college, she continued her soccer career professionally overseas and later became a certified personal trainer. She is now a co-owner of the Kansas City Current and remains involved in the growth of women’s professional soccer.
