Randy Orton addressed his actions after a chaotic closing segment on SmackDown, where he delivered an RKO to Jelly Roll before sharing a brief message online. The March 27 episode opened with Orton confronting fans and Cody Rhodes, revealing he had begun listening to the voices in his head again after years of silence.
He claimed those voices were guiding him toward becoming a 15-time world champion at WrestleMania 42, warning that he could no longer be held accountable for what comes next.
Matt Cardona interrupted the segment, seeking payback for a previous attack, striking Orton with a microphone inside the ring. The confrontation carried backstage, where Orton demanded a match from Nick Aldis, who approved the bout.
In the main event, Orton faced Cardona and methodically targeted his injured arm before sealing the victory with an RKO. Moments later, Rhodes stormed the ring and attacked Orton, igniting a wild brawl that required security and officials to intervene.
Amid the chaos, Jelly Roll, who had competed earlier in the show, entered the ring in an attempt to defuse the situation. Orton responded with another RKO, leaving the performer laid out. Following the show, Orton posted an image of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “Beautifully Broken.”

Jelly Roll Details Inspiration Behind WWE Debut

Jelly Roll recently explained what led him to pursue an in-ring appearance during an interview with Stephanie McMahon on her What’s Your Story? podcast. He cited his interaction with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller at SummerSlam 2024 as a turning point.
He said, “So I walk straight to the back, and I’m like completely tone-deaf in the moment. Now I’ve been around y’all business enough to know how wild this was. But I walk back like they are not in the middle of producing the show, and I’m like, ‘Everybody stop what you’re doing!’ I was like, ‘Paul (Triple H), if I lose another 100 pounds, can I do one of these?’. He was like, ‘Yeah, man.”
