Scottie Scheffler and his wife, Meredith Scudder, have welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Remy. The kid was born on March 27 and made an early public appearance at Augusta National Golf Club on April 5, just nine days after his birth. The outing came ahead of The Masters Tournament, which is set to begin on April 9.
Doug Ferguson of the Associated Press shared the moment on X, writing, “The little fella is 9 days old and already at the Masters.” Scheffler confirmed the newborn’s birth date during the visit and also explained how the couple settled on the name. “We just liked it. We didn’t have very many good boy names, to be honest with you.”
Scudder was spotted pushing Remy in a stroller near the clubhouse grounds at Augusta National, while the couple’s older son, Bennett, joined the family for the outing. For the unversed, Bennett was born in May 2024, making Remy the couple’s second child in less than a year.

Scheffler’s arrival at Augusta followed a brief absence from competition as he prioritized his family. He withdrew from the Houston Open in late March due to the impending birth of his second child.
Scottie Scheffler Balances Family Joy And Masters Pressure After Baby Arrival

The latest family milestone comes during an active period in Scottie Scheffler’s professional career. Earlier this year, he earned his 20th PGA Tour victory at The American Express in La Quinta, California, on January 25.
Following that win, Scheffler celebrated on the course with Scudder and their son Bennett. At the time, Scudder was pregnant and visibly showing her baby bump as the family embraced after the victory.
After Bennett’s birth in 2024, Scheffler spoke about his experience as a new father. “I had pretty high expectations of what I would feel like… and those are far exceeded. It’s a pretty amazing feeling.”
Scheffler has acknowledged the challenges of balancing life on the PGA Tour with family responsibilities. Travel and competition schedules often require time away from home, but Scudder has frequently brought Bennett to tournaments so the family can share key moments.
One such instance came during the Masters Par 3 contest in 2025, a long-standing Augusta National tradition that allows family members to participate alongside players. Scudder and Bennett took part in the event, reflecting the tournament’s family-oriented atmosphere.
Scheffler has also begun introducing his eldest son to golf. While Bennett is still too young to fully understand the game, Scheffler noted that his son “doesn’t know what a golf ball is” and enjoys “eating his golf club,” highlighting the early stages of that experience.
