Olympic gymnast Simone Biles reunited with two of her 2016 Olympic teammates this week for a TikTok video that playfully revisited the legacy of the “Final Five.”
Biles shared the clip on February 17, alongside fellow Olympic gold medalists Aly Raisman and Laurie Hernandez. The trio took part in the viral “No We’re Not Sorry” TikTok trend, which spotlights exaggerated dynamics within friend groups.
The gymnasts rose to global prominence as members of the “Final Five,” the nickname for Team USA’s women’s artistic gymnastics squad at the 2016 Summer Olympics. The roster, which also featured Gabby Douglas and Madison Kocian, captured team gold in Rio de Janeiro on August 9, 2016.
In Biles’ video, set to I Love Rock ’n’ Roll by Joan Jett, the athletes followed the trend’s format: the first participant mouths an explicit phrase to the camera, the second offers an apology, and the third rejects it.
Biles opened the clip by raising two middle fingers and mouthing the on-screen text, “f**k you bishhh.” Raisman then appeared with the caption “We’re so sorry!!” and played the apologetic friend. Hernandez closed the video by jumping into frame, raising two middle fingers and mouthing the on-screen text, “HAHAHAH NO WE’RE NOT F**K U LOL.”

Fans flooded the comments with nods to the team’s 2016 triumph and speculation about future appearances. The reunion also aligned with a broader social media trend in early 2026, as users shared throwback content from 2016 following New Year’s Eve, marking a decade since the Rio Games.
Douglas and Kocian did not appear in the TikTok. Biles and Douglas remain the only two members of the Final Five who have not officially retired from competitive gymnastics.
Legacy Of The Final Five And Recent Olympic Milestones

The Final Five earned their nickname during the Rio Games, which marked the last Olympics under the previous five-member team format in women’s artistic gymnastics. The team secured the gold medal dominantly and became one of the most recognized U.S. gymnastics squads in Olympic history.
Simone Biles has since added to her record. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, she won four medals, including three gold and one silver. With those results, she surpassed the previous U.S. Olympic medal record held by Shannon Miller to become the most-decorated American gymnast in Olympic history.
Douglas, the 2012 Olympic all-around champion, had planned to compete in Paris but withdrew after suffering an ankle injury in late May 2024. In July 2024, she told PEOPLE she was “looking forward” to the 2028 Summer Olympics.
