Simone Biles publicly celebrated her husband, Jonathan Owens, after the NFL safety signed a one-year contract with the Indianapolis Colts on Friday, March 13.
Biles reacted to the news on her Instagram Stories the same day, reposting an announcement about Owens’ new deal and sharing her excitement for the next chapter of his career.
“No Friday the 13th scaries here,” Biles wrote on Friday, March 13. “So proud of you, baby. 🤍” She added, “Indy, here we come!”
Owens joins the Colts after spending the entire 2025–2026 season with the Chicago Bears. The veteran safety has also had stints with the Houston Texans and the Green Bay Packers during his NFL career.
Throughout the 2025 season, Biles was a familiar presence on the sidelines at Bears games, often sporting custom outfits in support of her husband’s team.

Simone Biles has previously spoken about Jonathan Owens’ path to the league, noting that he entered the NFL without being selected in the draft. “I’m obviously getting glammed by the dream team,” the Olympic gymnast said in an October 2025 video shared via TikTok.
She added, “Something you guys might not know about my husband, Jonathan, is he is actually an undrafted, D2 product — and this is his eighth year in the league.”
Biles also explained the significance of his journey as an undrafted player. “He’s broken down barriers, statistics, and undrafted means a guy wasn’t drafted to a team, but they are free to sign with any team as an undrafted free agent.
