A brief sideline conversation between Travis Kelce and Kai Trump at a TGL golf event in Florida sparked online reactions, including criticism from social media personality Bronwin Aurora, who said the interaction upset her as a mega fan of Taylor Swift.
Kelce attended a match at the SoFi Center earlier in the week with his brother, Jason Kelce. The event featured Jupiter Links GC, a team associated with Tiger Woods, facing The Bay Golf Club.
During the event, Kelce briefly spoke with Kai Trump, the 18-year-old granddaughter of Donald Trump. Kai attended the match with her mother, Vanessa Trump, who has reportedly been dating Woods since early 2025. Video showing Kelce and Kai smiling while chatting on the turf quickly circulated online after the event.
Aurora later reposted the clip on March 7 and criticized the interaction in a post on X. “As a certified swiftie, this lowkey pisses me off,” Aurora captioned the clip. “Travis is chatting up the granddaughter of the man who said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT’ on the internet??? Anyone else bothered by this?”

For the unversed, Trump wrote the phrase “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” in a September 2024 post on Truth Social after Swift endorsed Kamala Harris for president. He later wrote that Swift was “no longer hot” and commented again following Super Bowl 2025, posting that she “got BOOED out of the Stadium” and adding, “MAGA is very unforgiving!”
Kelce, who got engaged to Swift in August 2025, has not publicly responded to Trump’s posts about the singer. Ahead of the Super Bowl in 2025, Kelce said it was “a great honor…no matter who the president is” to have Trump attend the game.

Kelce is currently considering whether to return for a 14th season in the NFL. Free agency opens March 11, and reports from ESPN’s Nate Taylor said “every indication” points to Kelce returning. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Kansas City Chiefs want the tight end “1,000% all in” before completing a new agreement.

Travis Kelce continued his offseason appearances by attending a TGL (Tomorrow’s Golf League) event at the SoFi Center alongside his brother Jason Kelce. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was photographed and recorded speaking with golf legend Tiger Woods, who co-owns the indoor golf league.
Jason Kelce first mentioned the event during a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, where he described working at the league through his role with ESPN as an analyst on Monday Night Football.
“Thankfully (TGL) is a part of ESPN, so I get to go down there and work,” Jason said during the podcast, prompting Travis to respond, “Nice man, do you get a plus one?”
During the event, Travis Kelce also spoke briefly on the broadcast microphone, greeting spectators and acknowledging players participating in the match.
