Travis Kelce touched on wedding advice during a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, but the Kansas City Chiefs star was quick to clarify that the conversation had nothing to do with his own rumored future nuptials with Taylor Swift.
The 36-year-old tight end welcomed former NFL standout and current sports commentator Greg Olsen on the January 21 episode of the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.
The discussion turned lighthearted as the brothers referenced Olsen’s reputation as an unforgettable wedding guest, stemming from his appearance at Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo’s wedding in 2024.
The Kelce brothers recalled spotting Olsen enthusiastically tearing up the dance floor at McCaffrey’s reception, prompting Travis to shift the conversation toward someone else’s big day. He noted that the podcast’s producer, Brandon “Intern Brandon” Borders, is currently engaged and preparing for his wedding.
“Do you have any advice for him — and him alone — on the five must-haves at a good wedding?” Kelce asked Olsen, emphasizing that the question was directed solely at Borders and not connected to his own engagement.
Olsen leaned into the moment, jokingly naming himself as the top requirement. “Number one’s me. I’m mean, let’s just be honest,” Olsen said. “I just want to be clear here for anyone potentially getting married — I don’t say it, but there’s a lot of people sayin’ it — if you want it to be memorable and you want there to be great energy and great camaraderie and fellowship and moments, I’m at the top of that list.”

Jason Kelce quickly piled on, urging his younger brother to extend an invitation. “Send the invite, Trav! Send the invite, Trav!” Jason said, as Travis laughed on the podcast. Olsen closed the exchange with a disclaimer of his own. “Listen, we don’t do pity invites. There’s no pressure.”
Olsen went on to explain why he believes he’s an asset at any wedding celebration, pointing to his eagerness to hit the dance floor with guests of all ages, from grandparents to members of the wedding party, and highlighting his karaoke prowess.
He also referenced his appearance alongside Travis Kelce at the 2024 Tight Ends & Friends event as further proof of his enthusiasm in social settings. The exchange sparked playful speculation among listeners, given Kelce’s high-profile engagement to Swift.
However, Kelce’s remarks made it clear that the request for advice was directed solely at the podcast’s producer and had no connection to his own wedding plans.
Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Keeping Wedding Plans Low-Key

Kelce and Swift announced their engagement in August 2025 after more than two years together, marking another milestone in one of the most closely followed relationships in sports and entertainment.
Despite the intense public interest surrounding the couple, they have shared few details about their wedding plans. In December 2025, a source spoke to PEOPLE about how the pair is approaching the process.
“When it comes to wedding planning, nothing feels rushed or one-sided,” the source said. “They’re both equally involved and excited, and this isn’t something one or the other is carrying on their own. They’re approaching it as a partnership, talking things through together and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them.”
While Kelce has previously joked about wedding planning on the podcast, the January 21 episode made it clear that, for now, he’s happy keeping the spotlight on others.
His exchange with Olsen offered listeners a glimpse into the show’s easygoing dynamic, while reinforcing that Kelce and Swift are navigating their engagement on their own terms, largely away from the public eye.
