Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are reportedly planning to get married before the start of the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2026 training camp, according to a report from ESPN.
ESPN reporter Nate Taylor wrote on March 10 that the couple intends to hold their wedding “before training camp.” The Chiefs have not yet announced the official dates for their 2026 training camp. Last year, the team opened camp on July 22.
Kelce and Swift became engaged in August 2025 after dating for two years. The reported timeline suggests the ceremony could take place in the weeks leading up to Kansas City’s preseason preparations later this summer.
The timing would place the wedding shortly before Kelce begins his 14th season in the NFL. The star tight end has spent his entire professional career with Kansas City and remains one of the franchise’s longest-tenured players heading into the 2026 campaign.

Kelce recently confirmed he will return to Kansas City for the upcoming season and credited Swift as a motivating factor in his decision.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Kelce said, “We share the same love for what we do. Fortunately, we’ve had this desire since we were kids in our selective professions. It’s amazing to see her keep going to the table, keep finding new things to write about, keep finding new melodies and things like that. On top of that, still seeing her have that love and joy in what she does.”
The 36-year-old continued, “Of course that’s motivating. That’s motivating for anybody, let alone my fiancée. I’m going through something trying to figure out what exactly the future holds for me. Something like that definitely motivates me to say, ‘You know what, I’m not done either. I’ve still got some ideas in the back of my mind. I’ve still got some juice left to play this game.”
Kelce later discussed the decision on March 11, in an episode of his podcast New Heights, explaining that he had privately decided to continue playing during the 2025 season. The Chiefs missed the playoffs last season for the first time since 2014, which marked Kelce’s first full year in the league. He said the way the season ended strengthened his desire to return.

“Obviously there’s still a little bit of that grit and that emotion, you know, I fing hated the way that s ended last year,” he added. “I want to make it right. And I want to get a chance at another Super Bowl.” Kelce is expected to rejoin the Chiefs later this year as the team prepares for the 2026 NFL season.
