Victoria Beckham has publicly reflected on a past family moment involving her son, Brooklyn Beckham, as tensions reportedly continue between the fashion designer and her eldest child.
On January 22, photographer Platon Antoniou shared an Instagram post recalling a 2006 photoshoot with David Beckham in Madrid. At the time, David was playing for Real Madrid and was, Antoniou wrote, “one of the world’s biggest superstars.” He noted that Victoria attended the shoot with the couple’s three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo, and Cruz.
Victoria Beckham responded directly to the post in the comments section, writing, “Brings back great memories! ❤️.” According to Antoniou, Brooklyn was seven years old, Romeo was four, and Cruz was still a baby. He described the children running into the studio wearing football kits and playing as he prepared to photograph David Beckham.
During the shoot, Antoniou said Brooklyn suddenly ran onto the set and hugged his father’s leg, followed moments later by Romeo. Victoria Beckham then joined them while holding Cruz.
“The whole family turned away from us for a private heartfelt group hug,” Antoniou wrote. “It was a poignant thing to see — this spontaneous moment of affection happening on a giant photography set in front of 60 people.”

Antoniou explained that he chose not to photograph the moment, saying he felt it would have invaded the family’s privacy. He later asked Victoria Beckham if the family might recreate the embrace for the camera.
According to Antoniou, she declined, telling him, “Thank you for not taking that picture earlier. Today, I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m here as a mother. I hope you don’t mind if I respectfully pass.”
He added that Victoria later suggested photographing David alone, resulting in an image that shows the footballer from behind, with the names of his children tattooed across his back. Antoniou described the photograph as a lasting reflection of fatherhood and family.
Brooklyn Beckham Speaks Out On Estrangement As Family Seeks Resolution

Victoria Beckham’s comment followed recent public remarks by Brooklyn Beckham about his relationship with his parents. Earlier this month, the 26-year-old shared a lengthy social media message in which he addressed his estrangement from David and Victoria Beckham.
In the post, Brooklyn wrote that he did not wish to reconcile at this time and accused his parents of interfering in his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn also alleged that his parents attempted to undermine his relationship on multiple occasions. He referenced events surrounding his 2022 wedding at the Peltz family’s Palm Beach estate and his father’s 50th birthday celebration last year.
Sources close to the family have indicated that communication efforts are ongoing. A source previously told PEOPLE that the relationship “is definitely not beyond repair.”
Another insider said earlier this month that David and Victoria Beckham have repeatedly asked Brooklyn and Nicola to meet privately to discuss the situation and move forward.

The insider added that David Beckham remains deeply committed to his children, saying, “David loves his kids. They are his everything.” However, the Beckhams have not issued a joint public statement addressing Brooklyn’s claims.
