Christian Pulisic’s ex-girlfriend, Alexa Melton, has walked back her earlier suggestion that the U.S. men’s national team captain was unfaithful during their relationship. In an Instagram Stories post shared on Thursday, April 9, Melton addressed the situation, saying her previous comments had been misunderstood.
She wrote, “I’ve made some comments on a private matter, and it’s been taken out of context. I received false info. He is not a cheater. Any narrative beyond that is not mine.”
She added, “Out of respect for Christian’s and my privacy, I will not speak further regarding the matter.”
Melton’s clarification comes three days after she publicly implied that Pulisic had cheated. In the comments section of an Instagram post on April 6, she suggested the two had broken up and referenced the dating app, Raya.
“Mans was on Raya before it even ended,” Melton wrote in response to a comment. She added in another reply, “Guess not fearing God enough. How many likes to post his Raya profile?”

Pulisic and Melton were first linked in June 2024 ahead of the Copa América. The pair was later spotted together at the U.S. Women’s Open in Pennsylvania.

Away from the off-field attention, Christian Pulisic remains involved in club competition with AC Milan as the Serie A season enters a critical phase. The winger is expected to start in Milan’s upcoming match against Udinese at San Siro.
