‘Rizzoli and Isles‘ follows a Boston homicide detective and a medical examiner who work together to solve the crimes. Angie Harmon (Detective Jane Rizzoli) and Sasha Alexander (Dr. Maura Isles) lead the cast and have great chemistry. The show was conventionally predictable and had a tendency to engage the audience with its plots.
The show started in 2010 but the makers after giving it 7 seasons decided to put a halt on the series. The seventh season was the last season of the drama and its end was announced by the Network president Kevin Reilly. Let’s dig into ‘why” the show ended after 7 successful seasons.

Why Did ‘Rizzoli And Isles’ End?
It was announced by the show’s Network president Kevin Reilly about the cancellation of the show from further production. the show was Cable Network’s second most-watched show behind only The Closer.
Reilly told the actors Angie Harmon (Rizzoli) and Sasha Alexander(isles) that the “show had some satisfying runs” and also he wasn’t aware whether the duo would continue the series further or not.
The director also claimed that the show had a “good run but we felt like it was time” and “everyone agreed that they should go and finish the Good ones and everyone felt good about that”.
Season six had a series-high 18 episodes, and the current 13 episodes are the lowest since the 10-episode freshman run. Following Harmon and Alexander’s joint contract renegotiation last season, the news follows the expectation that the supporting cast would do the same for season seven.
