WWE Stars Lay The Smackdown On Tom Brady Over ‘Scripted’ Slur

Several WWE stars publicly pushed back after Tom Brady once again made remarks about professional wrestling during an appearance on March 19, 2026. Brady spoke with Sports Illustrated at the Fanatics Flag Football Draft in Los Angeles, where he was asked how many WWE wrestlers it would take to sack him.

He responded, “They wouldn’t even get near me. Plus if I had a good offensive line they punch those guys right in the throat and they’d probably be crying.”

The comments quickly spread across social media and drew reactions from WWE talent. 14-time Women’s champion, Charlotte Flair, addressed Brady’s statement, writing, “A lot of words to say ‘if i had five guys to protect me, I might be ok’”.

WWE newcomer Danhausen also responded in line with his in-ring persona, stating it would “only take one @WWE superstar to CURSE Tim Bordy,” referencing his character-driven gimmick.

The Bella Twins joined the exchange as well, saying they believed they could get a sack on Brady, adding to the growing chorus of responses from WWE talent following the quarterback’s remarks.

Brady’s comments came during a public appearance tied to the Fanatics Flag Football Draft event in Los Angeles. The remarks were made in response to a direct question and were not part of any announced collaboration with WWE.

In parallel, Brady has also been engaged in a separate public exchange with Logan Paul. The heated interaction continued in person during the same Los Angeles event, where the two were seen exchanging words.

Tom Brady’s comments and the subsequent reactions have come at a time when WWE is finalizing plans for WrestleMania 42, an event known for incorporating celebrity appearances alongside its roster.

Triple H, who leads WWE’s creative direction, has previously overseen the inclusion of high-profile athletes and entertainers like Bad Bunny and Cardi B at the company’s flagship events. These appearances have ranged from brief segments to in-ring involvement.

The location of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas also connects to Brady through the Las Vegas Raiders, a franchise he is associated with. The shared setting has drawn attention as WWE continues its build toward the event.
