As ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ races toward release, Marvel fans are buzzing with theories about which heroes might show up when the multiverse finally collapses into chaos. With very limited information known about the film, speculation is at an all-time high.
Some heroes feel crucial to the story, some feel too beloved to leave out, and others would simply make fans scream in the theater. In case ‘Doomsday’ is actually the crossover event that Marvel is foaming at the mouth about, then these heroes should be there.
Doctor Strange

Stephen Strange is the only hero who feels that he has to be in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. He has turned into the multiverse’s guide. He is a man who has witnessed the most insane and the most terrible outcomes of the multiverse.

Following all that he experienced in ‘Multiverse of Madness’, incursions, dreamwalking, and corrupted realities, it is almost impossible to imagine a multiversal disaster happening without him in the middle of it. Strange is no longer a sorcerer; he is the only Avenger who realizes how thin reality is.
Scarlet Witch

If ‘Doomsday’ has anything to do with cosmic destruction, then Wanda Maximoff is needed. Her supposed death in ‘Multiverse of Madness’ never made anyone believe she actually died, given her unparalleled cosmic potential. The movie would immediately be electric with her return.
A redeemed Wanda saving universes? A corrupted Wanda tearing them apart? Both ways would shake the viewers to the core. She is the type of wild card that can either send the whole story into tragedy or success within a moment. This emotional weight is not shared by many characters in the MCU, and that is why her return is not only possible, but necessary.
Captain Marvel

Carol Danvers is the only Avenger who carries with her the unchecked, star-destroying strength wrapped in the calm confidence of a soldier. She is the type of hero who doesn’t even flinch when the universe collides. Instead, she flies straight into the blast. Someone this powerful is a perfect fit for ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘.
She is one of the few heroes who can go toe-to-toe with godlike threats without breaking a sweat. And following the events of ‘The Marvels’, her relationship with multiple realities and multiple versions of herself could be the next major narrative line of the MCU.
Star-Lord

Peter Quill is no longer a cosmic power. However, Star-Lord has always played an important role in the cosmic narrative of the MCU. His emotional arc with the Guardians, his involvement with Celestials, and his capacity to add heart and humor to apocalyptic scenarios make him a surprisingly significant part of the puzzle.
Fans haven’t forgotten the “Star-Lord will return” promise, and if Earth is truly facing annihilation, there’s no way Quill sits back eating cereal in Missouri. His return would also foreshadow a greater cosmic mobilization, something the Avengers will sorely require.
Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine

Fans were already fantasizing about the multiverse ripping open just enough to allow Hugh Jackman to stroll through one more time after his ‘Deadpool and Wolverine‘ appearance. Moreover, a ‘Doomsday’ scenario might be his ideal grand finale.

Wolverine not only offers nostalgia, but narrative grit. He is a survivor, a fighter, and someone that the audience instinctively believes in during a hopeless fight. Although his return is not needed for the plot, his presence would instantly put ‘Doomsday‘ even higher.
Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man has become a mythic figure in the multiverse. He is someone whose wisdom and silent bravery moved a generation. In case the world is really doomed, Tobey returning to the suit would not be fan service, but it would be destiny.
His interpretation of Peter Parker has a richness and tragedy that would add a lot to the emotional heart of the film. And since ‘No Way Home‘ opened the door, viewers are aware that the possibility exists. A moment where Tobey Maguire’s Peter gives advice, or sacrifices himself, could be one of the most unforgettable scenes in the MCU.
Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man

Where Tobey is nostalgic warmth, Andrew Garfield is raw emotion. His Spider-Man was reborn in ‘No Way Home,’ and viewers were finally able to see the hero he always should have been. Taking him to ‘Doomsday’ would provide Marvel with an opportunity to develop his arc.
The vitality, humour, and heartfelt sincerity of Andrew’s Spider-Man would bring a very human touch to a multiversal struggle. Among all rumored heroes, he’s one of the most heavily demanded by fans for a reason: he still has so much unfinished story to tell.
Jessica Alba’s Invisible Woman

The early 2000s Marvel movies have some of the major legacy characters, which is an interesting wildcard, and Sue Storm, played by Jessica Alba, tops that nostalgic list. She is a symbol of a time when the MCU did not even exist, and her reappearance is a near-poetic full-circle moment.
The idea of her reappearing, perhaps through a collapsing reality, perhaps guiding a younger version of the team, adds a multiverse richness that fans didn’t know they needed until rumors began swirling. She does not have to take over the movie; she only has to have one moment to leave a mark.
Wesley Snipes’ Blade

Blade came before Iron Man, before the MCU, before billion-dollar franchises. Wesley Snipes did not simply portray a hero; he rescued Marvel movies when they were almost on their deathbed. Reviving him would be a love letter to the fans who experienced the pre-MCU days.
Having Blade in ‘Doomsday’ would not be fan service; it would be symbolic. A universe that is on the verge of collapsing is the ideal place where the original Daywalker can be resurrected, at least temporarily. Since Mahershala Ali’s Blade is stuck in development hell, Snipes’ cameo would be legendary.
Kate Bishop

While she may be younger and less cosmic, Kate Bishop represents the MCU’s future, a grounded hero with sharp instincts and genuine charisma. Her presence in ‘Doomsday’ would demonstrate that the new generation is not only emerging, but ready to fight with giants.

Kate adds a sense of humor, realism, and human energy that counterbalances the sheer strength of other characters like Carol Danvers or Wanda. She does not have to save the multiverse; she only has to demonstrate that she is worthy to be on the battlefield. And fans already know she does. Provided that half of these heroes feature in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, the MCU could provide its most bombastic, emotional, and memorable crossover to date.
