The Marvel Cinematic Universe is no stranger to evolving legacies, and it seems Wakanda is preparing for a bold new chapter. A trusted insider has once again sparked excitement among fans, confirming that ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will likely mark the official debut of a new Black Panther, joining Shuri in the defense of the multiverse.
Letitia Wright is already confirmed to return as Shuri, Wakanda’s brilliant scientist-turned-heroine, in the upcoming ensemble blockbuster. However, reports now suggest that she won’t be standing alone.
T’Challa’s Son Might Be The New Black Panther

According to a recent scoop by insider MyTimeToShineHello, a second Black Panther will appear alongside Shuri in ‘Doomsday’. Speculation is swirling that this new hero will be none other than Prince T’Challa, the young son of the late King T’Challa and Nakia, first introduced in ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’.

While fans have previously debated whether Marvel would recast T’Challa, use a Multiversal variant, or stick with Shuri as the solo Panther, the newest updates point to a passing of the torch rather than a replacement. This new Black Panther will reportedly be a grown-up version of young T’Challa, perhaps fast-tracked in age by multiversal events or time skips.
Adding more fuel to the fire, earlier concept art allegedly tied to ‘Doomsday’ depicted a mysterious new Black Panther bearing the likeness of Damson Idris. Known for his role in ‘Snowfall’ the actor has been a fan favorite cast for the MCU for years. While Idris’s casting remains unconfirmed, the concept art indicates the studio is indeed visualizing someone of similar stature and presence for the role.
‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Struggles To Find Its MCU Footing

While Wakanda prepares for a heroic future, another corner of the MCU faces an uphill battle. ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 1, despite the return of fan-favorite characters and immense anticipation, has set an unfortunate record. It’s now the first live-action Marvel Disney+ series to miss Nielsen’s Top 10 list of original streaming shows.

The show’s two-episode premiere did pull in a respectable 7.5 million views within its first five days (making it Disney+’s biggest debut of 2025 at the time) but those numbers pale in comparison to its predecessors. ‘Loki’ Season 2 earned 10.9 million views in just three days, while ‘Agatha All Along’ pulled 9.3 million in a week. So, what went wrong?
Much of the letdown appears to stem from pacing and tonal shifts. Long-time fans of Charlie Cox’s gritty, street-level vigilante found the rebooted series lacking the emotional punch and intensity that defined Netflix’s Daredevil. While ‘Born Again’ offers nostalgia through the return of Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, it seems that the story’s slow burn and scattered narrative failed to ignite the same spark.
However, all is not lost. ‘Born Again’ Season 2 is currently in production and promises to double down on character-driven drama and action. Rumors are heating up about Luke Cage and Iron Fist making surprise appearances as well, hinting at a long-awaited Defenders reunion. Season 2 will also introduce fresh faces like Matthew Lillard and Lili Taylor, with the latter playing a formidable political rival to Mayor Fisk.
