‘Avengers: Doomsday’ To Feature A Massive Incursion Of 3 Universes

Marvel‘s upcoming film ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ is set to bring the Multiverse Saga to an epic climax. Recent clues from ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ and ‘The Marvels‘ have hinted that the events of Doomsday may involve an incursion of three separate universes colliding into one another.

In the post-credits scene of ‘The Marvels‘, audiences saw Monica Rambeau become stranded in an alternate universe along with Beast. This was heavily implied to be Earth-10005, the reality previously occupied by Fox’s X-Men film franchise. With one of the MCU’s heroes now lost in another dimension, it sets the stage for an incursion when the boundaries between worlds start to break down.

The end of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ left Earth-10005 intact, with the X-Men’s home reality playing a role in the future. Now, ‘Avengers: Doomsday‘ is rumored to adapt elements of the 2015 ‘Secret Warscomic event, where the 616 universe collided with another. Earth-10005 fits this role perfectly for an MCU adaptation.

This incursion would allow Fox characters like Patrick Stewart’s Professor X or Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine to return through the multiverse colliding. It represents the biggest opportunity to mix up the beloved past X-Men franchises into the current MCU continuity. The destruction of Earth-10005 could even see some mutants like Deadpool permanently join Earth-616.

Recent rumors suggest that ‘The Fantastic Four‘s home universe may also get drawn into the chaos. Their 2025 film ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps‘ is said to depict the founding of their team, setting the stage for their world.

John Krasinski’sMr. Fantastic’ talked of “incursions” in the Doctor Strange sequel, planting the foundation for the concept. It’s possible the instability in the multiverse causes a rare triple incursion merge of Earth-616, Earth-10005 and ‘The Fantastic Four’s dimension. This could introduce their versions of Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer and other characters with massive potential and an even massive role into the MCU continuity.

Only time will tell how exactly ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ adapts ‘Secret Wars‘. But with three cinematic universes now involved in the MCU, the scope is epic and big enough to rival that of its 2015 comic event. Fans will be on the edge of their seats to see if this leads to the joining of all of Marvel’s past on the big screen.
