That’s an incredibly bold approach for an Avengers film to begin.
‘Avengers: Doomsday’ Might Start With A Massive Multiverse Battle
Wolverine, Deadpool and Magneto enter into Tobey’s universe with a mysterious gadget, according to the alleged leak. Wolverine apparently has the responsibility of activating it, but Peter Parker repeatedly gets in his way. That makes for one of the weirdest superhero showdowns ever, Tobey’s Spider-Man taking on Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine.

The reported details make the encounter sound surprisingly chaotic. Deadpool allegedly jokes about Tobey being the strongest Spider-Man while Peter desperately tries to prevent Wolverine from activating the device.
So when Wolverine takes on Tobey’s Spider-Man, and Tobey refuses to back down, it feels like the sort of multiverse fan-service that Marvel knows audiences will go crazy for. However, Wolverine isn’t the only threat.
Magneto supposedly fights another character and easily wins the battle before using his powers to control the mysterious device. He builds up a huge ball of energy around it and hurls it, apparently disappearing alongside Deadpool in the process.
The Film Opens With An Explosion, Not The Avengers‘ Lives
The reported ending features Wolverine trying to flee, but Peter stopping him once more. Eventually, their battle ends with a huge explosion. If true, then the first few minutes of ‘Doomsday’ would be far removed from the standard Avengers movie format.

Instead of beginning with the main heroes assembling, Marvel could immediately establish that something has gone seriously wrong with the multiverse. Under all the hype, there is a really interesting question: why are Wolverine, Deadpool, and Magneto in Tobey’s universe at all?
No matter what it is, it could be linked to the bigger multiversal battle that is the movie’s theme. However, if the explosion is the catalyst to the story, then Tobey’s Spider-Man could become much more important to ‘Doomsday’ than audiences initially expected.
These details are of course unverified, and rumours can be inaccurate or incomplete. If that’s the way things are going to be in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, though, then Marvel might have just given its viewers a show-stopper when it comes to the first thing they know.
