For a couple of years, the rumor of Ben Affleck coming to the MCU has been going around. However, now there is a strong chance that Affleck will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ben Affleck is known to play the role of the beloved caped crusader, Batman in the DC Extended Universe. It was not the first superhero character he played in the movie. Affleck played the Daredevil in the 2003’s ‘Daredevil’. He did a d decent job however movie was not well received. Now it seems Affleck is returning to Banner where he started his superhero journey.

Ben Affleck To Play An Undisclosed Role In The MCU
The popular Hollywood scooper Daniel Richtman revealed that the former Batman actor is currently having conversations with Marvel to join the franchise to play a mystery role. Richtman also claimed that Affleck will not be reprising his role as Daredevil in the upcoming ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’.
Many fans expected to see Affleck one more time in the red suit as the “Devil Of the Hell’s Kitchen” as Jennifer Garner, who played Elektra opposite to him is confirmed to reprise her role.
Affleck was also spotted on the set of ‘Deadpool And Wolverine’ in 2023 which further gave air to the rumor. However, given the fact that his Daredevil was not well received, Affleck may not want to reprise his role.
Thus, it further increases the intrigue about what character will Affleck play. Marvel will be introducing more characters in future projects so fans have to wait for further updates.

Which Characters Can Ben Affleck Play In MCU?
While Marvel is allegedly “cooking” with Ben Affleck behind the scenes, the community has started their conversation about which character will suit him. Some fans are saying that since the mutants are coming to the MCU, Affleck can play the role of the founder of “Friends Of Humanity,” Graydon Creed.
However, the majority of fans claim that Affleck can appear as Victor Von Doom (Dr Doom) in future projects. Affleck already has a good build to play the ruler of Latveria. He can surely as the main villain of Marvel’s First Family, Fantastic Four.
In 2023, Ben Affleck while talking to The Hollywood Reporter revealed that he has no interest in superhero movies. He said, “I’m out. I never want to do any of this again. I’m not suited. I don’t want to participate in this in any way. And I don’t want to squander any more of my life, of which I have a limited amount.”
So there is also a possibility that Affleck will play more of a civilian role rather than putting on a suit if he still sticks to these words. He said this after working with DCEU which was a trainwreck from start to end.
If Affleck decides to change his mind and plays a comic book character once again, it should be very well Dr Doom as it will kind of help him to get redemption in the comic book movie genre.
